No boats in this one. Just cars and big guns, IIRC.
No fire "in" a building. "on" works, though.

the original Posiedon Adventure?
or the one with the fire in the buildings... Towering Inferno?
let's see I get one more guess but these people don't inspire me. They look like plumbers trying to fix a leak overhead. And I can't think of a movie like that but the word "plumbers" reminds me of Watergate so I add "All the President's Men"
ok I realize now that he isn't in those movies. I didn't scroll back enough but for entertainment purposes a song from a movie George Kennedy actually won an award for being in:
Quote:
Well, I don't care if it rains or freezes,
long as I got my plastic Jesus,
sittin' on the dashboard of my car.
Comes in colors, pink and pleasant,
glows in the dark 'cause it's iridescent,
take it with you when you travel far.
Get yourself a sweet Madonna,
dressed in rhinestones sittin' on a
pedestal of abalone shell.
Goin' ninety, I ain't scary,
'cause I've got the Virgin Mary,
assurin' me that I won't go to Hell.

Nope.
There are three types of bit parts George is known for. This one isn't the soldier or the cop.

You've got the right timeframe. But the wrong act of nature.
I don't remember any airplanes in this one.

My one guess: "Airport '77"

Man, it's hard to find a movie with George Kennedy that isn't a Western and he's not wearing a police or military uniform...
Don't know about the Ford...
What the heck...Earthquake?

Sorry, no.

It was a little later than that and I think this flight was of a fifty-four Ford.
