Burt Reynold's flavour? *shudders* That's a recipe for hairs caught between your teeth.

The never-ending story, the bit with the mud and the giant tortoise. Smile

None of those. This wasn't really a swamp movie per se. While the setting was important, the type of terrain was not.

Deliverance was definitely filmed on a river, not a swamp. That's your useless Burt Reynolds flavored tidbit of the day.

two wrong guesses for the price of one:

"Shy People (1987) with Barbara Hershey
-or-
"Adaptation" with Nicholas Cage (did we use that yet?)

dunno, i'm just letting swamp movies pop into my head now

Another one that I'm shocked hasn't come up, yet.
Should take this group all of 2 seconds to get.

On Blue Velvet:
I'll never forget how the idea of a freestanding dead man creeped me out.

I'm pretty sure that's a strip of Blue Velvet stuffed in Don's mouth.

It must have been a while since I posted a still. I just found out ctrl-I doesn't work in WMP11, so I switched back to 10.

I actually did not know the original Swedish title, and if you look back in this thread you will see I already posted two Bergman films. Smile

OK here it is;

I'm not sure how popular this movie really was, but it should have been.
Anyway this should be a fairly recognizable moment.
