There was a new post over on the development blog a little over a week ago. Another round of delays, as well as an offer for semi-frequent updates on the project's status.

I got UBERinvolved with TLE, and it didn't start getting irritating until the glyph hunt. And Rachel doing the lip thing. It had its good points, though. Speaker, for one. He's dreamy.

I love Potter. I'm all over this! I can't wait! I'll even ignore the fact that the pm posted on page 2.

You didn't miss it... I've been waiting for it REALLY impatiently too since i heard of it and would CERTAINLY have noticed had it been released. Last I heard, a couple (or more?) of months back from Molly when i private messaged her, she said it was still being worked on. So, shrug. Guess I have to be more patient. HURRY UP! Hehe.

No news on this other than we're fast approaching the last book, new movie, and even have an announcement that Universal Studios will be partnering to create a theme park.

Launch of this game was scheduled to happen around this time (early to late May, so keep your eyes open people! As an HP fan, I've got my fingers crossed.

Hey everyone, this is Molly, I started the idea of this ARG back in late October. Now, months later, I have people working with me that have such amazing amounts of experience in ARGs that it puts me to shame. I am amazed with the brilliant ideas people come up with, and at times can feel overwhelmed with the problems that can arise when creating an ARG from scratch. Luckily, the amazing people I've mentioned always seem to be there with a solution and pushing things forward at a steady pace.

I was reading this thread for the first time today (finally) and thought I'd clear a few things up, although most of what I will say was posted, at least in part, by someone else above.

First of all, "The Hogwarts Experience." The title was actually intended to be a total TLE rip-off. It's hard to make up a title when there is little to no storyline, but I needed to make a blog. So, instead of "The Harry Potter ARG," which sounds dreadfully boring, I just threw in a reference to what was a recent and popular ARG. We still haven't decided on a definite title at this point, but we have recently started to discuss this, and we will have one soon.

Secondly, yes, the description I posted of the storyline months back was extremely similar to tons of ARGs out there. It wasn't original at all, I know that now, and knew that then. People on some of the HP sites where I advertised had never even heard of an ARG before and were confused as to what it was, so the only way I could think of to explain it was through a vague storyline. Now, months after that post, the storyline has branched off from that original idea and has become much more developed. While it isn't 100% original (there are so many ARGs out there, it makes it rather difficult to not have at least some similar aspects), I'd like to think that there are quite a few original ideas, enough to keep players of all experience levels hooked.

This ARG is still deep in development, we have lots of work ahead of us, but things seem to be coming along great. We are looking at a mid to late May release, quite a while from now, but perfect timing for the Harry Potter fans who are starting to get excited for the fifth movie and final book releases in mid July.

I hope this cleared some things up for everyone. Hope to see some of you involved when it starts!

And on top of that, she also says that the plot everyone's commenting on? Well, that's a temporary plot, which she put up to explain to newbies what an ARG basically is. Unless she's decided that's what she's going with.

On another note: I've never been much of a Potter fan, although I'm starting to get interested, but this might be, if it turns out any good, what brings me back into the ARGing fold.
