I added the new red numbers to the wiki. Another duplicate I Ching phrase, but no new page number matches.

I just got a Envelope!

Yep, I got one too.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
At first I was hoping it was a "jar of honey", but, eh, I'll take a GMD game Smile.

I'll photogrpah & post later tonight or tomorrow. Contents are very similar to the post at the beginning, but all different pages/pictures.

edit: Postmark is april 13. I suspect they got my name/address since I got a Benjamin Stove poster. I didn't even participate with that game much :/.

Ok, I went back and checked all my counting. You guys were right, #3 is N. Also, I had taken that 5, 1, 6 from a list someone else made a while back, and it was also wrong, so I fixed that too. Incidently, the correct page number, 45, has two possible pages. One (probably the right one) is from At the Mountains of Madness, but there's also a page 45 from 2600.

So anyway, here's the corrected info:

You should find an organized compilation of everything on the wiki

Heh, that's an interesting way to wield the fig leaf.

Contents of the Creators

This is more then likely the souls responsible for the game. It is the owners of bseeingu.com. Here's their content from the website they maintain.

Quote:
If you arrived here, you're probably participating in the pilot chapter of Eldritch Errors, an immersive horror series playing out in real time on the Web. You've fallen through the walls by stumbling here so soon - go back the way you came, which ever way that might have been. We'll have more to share with you sometime in the future.

Go back knowing that Eldritch Errors deals with mature themes and is intended for audiences aged 18 and up and that because it is played online with other people, your experience will vary as you interact with other online players.

Go back knowing that when we go to bed to at night, we pray that this entire story is fiction and that gives us some comfort.

If you feel you must fall further through the walls (for issues technical, legal or investigative) you can reach the Eldritch Errors team at inquiry at eldritcherrors.com.

Light Up My Life

Well just on the off chance there was something hidden on the papers in the envelope or the envelope itself I examined everything under Blacklight, both Long and shirt wave, and under infrared.

Something we did in a LARP was to embed hidden messages in UV reactive inks. No such luck here.

Wow, I didn't think I was that sloppy when I was doing that. Definitely make both those changes. I'll do it myself in a bit if no one else does.

In the watercolor piece you got, would you say there's a signature ("DC", or "DC2") in the bottom-right, or is that just a fold/wrinkle/hair/scanner-glitch?

Looking at it up close, it appears to be 'DC' written in pencil.

Mixing Mythos

One thing that has jumped out at me, is that the author of this game is really mixing their Mythos.

Overall it has a Deep One, Dagon feel. Hence the watercolor I got of what appears to be a Deep One climbing a wall.

But then they tossed in the info in the letter which is a Dreamlands reference to the Plateu Of Leng and maybe the city of Mu.

Is there any place that has a full listing of the images of all the packages thus far?

Lastly, one weird note is that mine was postmarked on Friday the 13th...

Huh, that's very similar to my letter. (And mine didn't mention the birds, but they were in my watercolor.)

Are we seeing similar pairings with others? Because that redundancy, then, would suggest that the contents of the letter are important, if the PMs wanted to make sure that we got them even if someone who got a package didn't tell anyone.

Thanks Greg!

letter:
Quote:
Have you ever thought about the line between reality and fantasy? I've always believed that is where madness lies, but I'm no longer sure of that. The past few weeks, my dreams have seemed so very real. It's always in the same place - a dark place where ravenous birds fly above a city destroyed - floating on the fear and misunderstanding that fills the air. You are part of the exodus, walking away from it and leaving the city behind forever. If you haven't found them yet you must. This may be the path to madness, but trust me when I say that nothing has even seemed more real.

Seeing you,
B
