Has anyone else talked to or tried to contact Localboy?
I got a hold of someone on AIM last night under the sn Localboy. But once he finally responded he claimed to not know what i was talking about. Not sure if hes just tryin to give me the run around or if it was just a coincidence that someone has that screen name and was telling the truth.
Lemme know if anyone else has had this same thing or a different experience.

This is my first experience....and I am looking forward to it. Just joined today and I think we are all in for a ride. Very excited, so let me know what I can do to help. I am in the process of catching up with everything.

Just noticed that yuckymuck's icon is a screengrab from some programming language. It's cut off to the right-hand side. C++ or something? Any ideas what it means (if anything)?

I'm no programmer, but it seems to be just a simple error logger of some sort.
"error_count++" is the clearest part, it raises the value of "error_count" by one.
I don't recognize this syntax though, any real programmers know what language it is?
It probably isn't important, but who knows?
EDIT: Oh, and we appear to have potential now, cool!

I definitely don't think it's the same person, but it looks like it could be his father or something. Or crazy uncle. I dunno, I could go either way. But the quiz link seems less random if you consider the rest of the page.

Well, after some thought I figured I could get into this one.
LJ: yumemirusabaku (even though I already have an lj, haha, oh well)
Vox: justanotherblue.vox.com
AIM: linguisticphoebe
So I'll be friending everyone I can find here shortly...

Yeah... looking through paulkienitz.net and gning.org, I'm gonna say this is an OOC webpage. First, there's too much unrelated text to suggest the owners spent all this time designing these pages. There much be thousands and thousands of movie and music reviews alone. He even has an Amazon review page that is unrelated to Oil (http://tinyurl.com/2xgf92). So: my vote is that it's unrelated. But I'm ready to be proven wrong.
(Plus, we've been linked to OOC resources before having to do with energy and oil - the game likes to reference real life news events a lot too.)

Not sure yet if the site is IG or not, but they are definitely not the same people. Ignoring hair color (grey V black) and balding, Nico has more defining cheek bones and more distinctive ears. Kienitz has a mole on the right side of his face, and incredibly thin eyebrows. I'm giving that connection a thumbs down.

Check out the main part of the webpage where mpathytest's Sci Fi writer quiz is hosted. The guy who runs the website has quite a few political rants posted, and his passion is apparently alternate energy sources...
Also, he looks just like the guy in the photobucket pic who may or may not be Nico, doesn't he? Maybe I'm reaching, but it makes me wonder if that site is more IG than just a quick quiz.

Hi all. Total ARG noob here, but very intrigued by WWO and look forward to contributing to the game.
I just read the contents of this thread and am (hopefully) up to date on where things stand.
please add me as friend on LJ and Vox, if you like:
Major piece of info: Apparently Nico tried to scare "GT" (gala_teah, obv.) off the April 30th thing.
That was implied in other things they've said, but it's good to have it in print!
As a side note, I got one of my non-ARG friends really excited about this, the RPG elements might make this game good advertising for the genre as a whole.

Sorry. Didn't understand that. But yeah, I'd definitely say Dessum and probably chuckles are the most radicalized of the group. Gracesmominnh seems to be the least - she said before that she really joined to help gala_teah. (I don't remember exactly where it says that, but I definitely read it.)
When I was chatting with mpathytest they kind of scared me a bit. I just have a strange feeling about them. I know IllianaSpeedster is nice, we had a good talk about our dogs then she had to go. I second that gala_tech's pretty laid back but will freak out if mpathytest messes around with things. I mean who wouldn't.

It's on the website of a journalist in RL. I suspect it's OOC - ie: he's making a joke about bad crowds. But that none of the people in the picture are IG characters.
What I was meaning by that was showing that dessum9 is anti-yuppie aka the type of people that tend to buy expensive cars. I didn't mean that there was a new website to look into.
