I don't know if I already mentioned this...but I emailed Every Sunday through youtube..the woman who posted the youtube video on Nico.
Today I got this short response:

Conclusion, do we know where Nico is? What should I do next?
Also, I am still waiting for an email from the Kyrgyzstan Embassy on the translation, but the may not respond at all.
How are we going to translate the video?

Hello Nico Again...
"I trust Grace is well... And her Mom... I'm a little jealous of you..."
SO do you think that Grace might be the key to this somehow? That she possesses something? or IS something? Is Nico warning Sharon that the "bad people" are looking for her?
I might make an mp3 of the <slavic>(?) audio section of the video. Then just email to language folks.

Lucy and squirrels
Just checked up on Illianaspeedsters youtube contributions. You can see lucy chase squirrels here:
"Damn, just a leaf.." "The squirrels aren't there..."
Speculate people!

Krgyz(?) speech
I was gonna say, not that I am a slavic languages expert, I feel that she (in the nico message video) is definitely speaking some kind of Russian. The fact that it's not Russian makes sense, considering it's probably a dialect. It's like if you came across someone with a scottish accent saying something nonsensical because it's not english, until you realize it's gaelic. It's gotta be a similar situation here...
Also, some of you are pointing to Nico's pics, but when I check it out the link is down. Anyone else having this problem?

Doing a search on Keotag with 'worldwithoutoil' I came across this link
At the same time, CNPC and Sinochem formed Sinoil (China National United Oil Corpora-
tion, also called Chinaoil) to import and export crude oil, to import equipment needed by CNPC,
and to engage in exploration and development of oil fields overseas. Sinoil was formed to be a
"global industrial conglomerate," able to compete in the world oil economy for exploration
contracts in foreign oilfields. Initially Sinoil obtained most of its crude exports from Daqing and
exported these primarily to Japan (9.3 million tons in 1994). The corporation will concentrate on
retapping old oil fields. Forming a joint venture with an American partner, Sinoil bought 98 old
oil wells in east Texas. Sinoil will expand overseas into Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and the
United States. Sinoil invested in a Hong Kong holding company, Seaunion Holdings Ltd., to
develop fields in Indonesia and Mongolia

A friend and I started reading into this ARG as possibly a first one to try.
I apologize if I missed this posted somewhere. Skimmed through the thread and didn't notice it posted (unless I missed it). Probably me just just getting a little too excited about my first ARG.
Once again, sorry if I just reposted known information. Might not mean anything, but thought I would mention it.

Today has been a big deal for me, as some of you may know. I apologize if I may be stretching.
I honestly feel that Nico is tied to A FEW "real" events.
They may be the past, yes.
My brain is aching...going to bed. Nice work ALL of you today. It has been a real blast talking to all of you so far, the last few days I have met some really nice, cool, and interesting souls. Thanks 4 letting me have FUN.
...game hasn't even started

COST8
I just noticed that one of the meta-tags in worldwithoutoil.org is "cost8". After some googling, I came up with the Best practice in sustainable urban infrastructure, an environmental action plan that a number of European countries signed in 1998, ended in 2004 with extension. There was this conference on the results (I'm looking for the actual transcriptions of the conference), and here are some of the case studies. The main website has been replaced by an R&D company based in Finland. Note, none of this stuff is fictional. It's the only real-world thing in the meta tags of the WWO website. I think it might be important, but there's no reason to know why yet. Maybe Nico is connected with this (real) research?

iamlocalboy seems to have an AIM account, although I can't confirm.
Regarding the latest video, the woman's reference to Grace is very odd. Almost as if she knows of Grace in a way that is more personal than one who would only know of Grace because of Nico's stories about the airport meeting. Has there been any intel on the identity of Grace's father?
Do you mean the truck siren in the beginning, or the car alarm at the end? I've definitely heard both in NYC.
Actually, in rewatching, I think you are right. There is a Town Car parked in front of the restaurant. Not many of those in Europe.

The one at the end. I associate that siren sound with Europe for some reason.

A Russian friend watched it and confirmed that it was not Russian. They actually felt that it wasn't Slavic at all. I wonder if it's Middle Eastern. (It's not Hebrew.) I also did a quick shot-by-shot, which I posted on my LJ. It's as close to a transcript as I could do, and I omitted all the foreign language shots for obvious reasons. You can read that here: http://wwo-mordy.livejournal.com/2089.html
I think we need a translation. Also, a read on the car would be nice (any car people around here?). At some point, I'll analyze my transcript for hints (some ready ones: she removes her sunglasses during the foreign language part, we have some location hints, we might be able to figure out whether she took the footage herself or if someone took it of her, etc).
I beleive the car is a Citroen, a French manufacturer.
