Since only people who've made very close guesses have been invited to the yahoogroup, i'm thinking the yahoogroup wouldnt be the place to post clues.

I havent heard back yet from "James Pinkwater", but then again, it's only 5:00 am in London right now.....

(not so much spoiler, but i didnt want to disclose this out in the open).. the two brothers that run the Replacements site (and are the Rugby players) are both artists and filmmakers...and from what I can see from their resumes and personal websites, and from the way this game was managed, are quite good.

This WAS fun, even if I dont like "gore".

I figured it out from the number in his email address. At first i thought for sure it was the member id from the meetup site. but not quite. Looked at replacing the last six numbers at myspace's profile id #s but that didnt work out... went back to one of the web pages that we'd been refered to and found my answer there:

The splash page of the Replacements website has been taken down (this is where the MARQUIS OF PEATEY website is now being hosted).. If you look at the title of the page http://www.thereplacements.org you'll find that same number...862700. I didnt really look throughly through those pages.. but i do know they were about RUGBY players. So filing back through the myspace friends, the only member to mention rugby (about 20 times) is Jimmy http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=197960917.

Professor Samuel Higgins had chosen to keep in touch with some of his most prized pupils and invited them to occasionally meet under the harmless guise of a small film discussion group called, The Le Prince Society. It was here that these prized students would come to catch up with the professor, discuss any current issues in their lives and ultimately speak of the passion that unified them all; film. By any standards, meeting up with alumni to sit and chat is quite harmless. The school's take on the situation however, was that Mr. Higgin's had been inviting certain students who he had a passing fancy for and in turn forced them into committing lewd and lascivious acts at what the school officially dubbed, 'clandestine gatherings'. In fact the gatherings themselves were quite publicly accessible on the web and were open to almost anyone with a similar vested interest. The term 'vested interest' is especially of note for if the group as a whole determined that one or more of its members did not have an adequate knowledge base for their weekly discussion, they would politely exclude them from further participation. Whilst this sort of banishment may seem a bit harsh if not outright snobbish, you must understand that Professor Higgens' passion for the subject of film made him a superlative instructor, but consequently also greatly diminished his toleration for ignorance. Now, had it not been for the apparent semi-exclusion of one James Pinkwater, a former student of Prof. Higgins, he would very likely still be alive, as would the rest of the group. James was more than a vibrant contributor to many of the clubs heady discussions each week. It was however, when James proposed the group spend a week discussing and watching some television shows as a change of pace, that everything changed. Arguments ensued, and James, being banished from the group, began to plot his revenge. I was also a member, and this is my story.

Maybe James' parents were little people and he changed all their heights to 3'0 for revenge...or maybe he's going to try to kill 30 people... hmmm

funny though, even though i found the le prince site ahead of when it was introduced, we basically found all the peeps in order anyway.

aha... TELEVISION!!! that's it the argument at the last meetup was about television. being a bunch of film students i'm betting they all ridiculed James for liking the tv shows that he liked. SOOOOO REVENGE! That's the why!

I couldnt quite hear it because the sound is really low, I thought he might of said james but I just couldnt hear it well enough, and decided I was a deaf old git and left it at that

Don't forget about Sam who I'm pretty sure goes with Big Brother becasue everyone always knew what was going on in her life becase of her blog. And I noticed one of James's heroes is David Blaine who did that stunt a few weeks ago where he tried to stay submerged under water for some unrealistic amount of time, that could be Molly, even though it's not on of the Television shows.
