Damn Space, I was sure no one would get it from that. Well done, but I'm sad I didn't get to use more pics from this site. It has pretty much the whole movie in screen caps.

Giskard confirms this is from Raiders and my Google-fu tells me that it's a Waco Model UBF-2, introduced in 1932±1. I'll poke around for a new screenshot.

I agree with Space, it looks like the very first plane, where Indy gives the "snakes! I hate snakes!" line.
The other plane in the movie (tri-motor) was the Pan American Clipper (ETA: oops, I was a little off, here), but that's not this plane.

The Indiana Jones plane was a Ford Tri-motor. The plane that pretty much started passenger airtravel.

Hmm, maybe this is a seaplane? Are they taking off (or landing) on water? See also the struts at the bottom.
That image from The Island, which I saw, I don't remember that scene or where they are. Are they in Colorado somewhere? I tried to find it via google, but I can't seem to find it.

I thought the Raider's plane was a single wing.
Six Days Seven Nights?
King Kong?

That looks most to me like the plane from the first one, Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom?
I was about to guess Indiana Jones (but my guess would be The Last Crusade), because that had the plane with Indy's dad ending up shredding the rear of the plane, but if memory serves me, they flew from Austria, and those green surroundings don't look particulary Austrian to me.
Btw, nice job Six. I've seen the American trailers (which are probably the ones you got as well) for The Island and they indeed give a lot away. The European ones they showed here were much less revealing. I think the movie wasn't advertised much at all here, and it didn't do too well.
I was very surprised to find it a rather good, captivating movie when I picked it up on DVD.

I have no guesses but that mountain range looks familiar.
oops i was looking at the wrong still.
i don't know what kind of plane that is either.
Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom? Out of Africa? that Mummy movie?
Those are just guesses based on movies that have planes in them. Not too wide awake yet this morning.

Giskard three delta. Step up, your time has come. You're moving out, to The Island!
I always thought that movie would have been so much better if the previews didn't give anything away. I'll go look for something and get back later.
-EDIT- People normally aint too active at this time so hopefully this edit doesn't slip past anyone. Here's the next. Does that car database do planes to? Any plane experts that can name the type anyway?

Nope & nope. The above still is actually from a key scene in the movie, plotwise. Here's another, less significant, but more recognisable perhaps:
