We erred on the side of caution in telling you not to take the pill, but we now believe it might be best. considering they ARE trying to keep you alive (for their own reasons albeit, but alive nonettheless). Sorry to hear about Steve. Our condolences pal. Anything we can do let us know. I have some more info on that, but I'll wait for your response to tell you about it.

No, I've kept the few contacts I have had with him to questions. I'll pump for whatever info I can get but leave plot forwarding to ya'll.

Still working on the pic, I've got more in focus but I can't find any layers worth a piddle. There is this weird white noise behind all the text from the front. It's blocking most of the backside text. I got it removed at one point, but it didn't seem to help much.

Edit: One of the word you can anagram out of the theta email from Steve is reanimate, hehe.

Still exploring possible marsh fire. Now that we know Steve is dead and there is some connection to ghosts, a mass explosion (esp considering that weird explosion on the last video) seem like a more viable lead. I'm not getting anywhere, but I'm not done. Is anyone of the opinion that I am so far off base that I should just give up?

One other thing, anyone talked to Jeff recently and should we tell him the pill is ok? I'm pretty sure with the info we are going on that it is just an antibiotic.

Yeah, with the already creepy videos in completely normal settings, I shudder to think of the stuff that will pop up in a creepy Iowa cemetery.

The first and third sets of numbers could pass as graph coordinates, but the second and fourth have one too many numbers to be coordinates. Ack.

Theta is like, one of the most common Greek letters in math. It always represents an angle. Heck, the shirt I'm wearing says "cos^2(theta) + sin^2(theta) = 1."

And natas, it seems like you've had the most correspondence with Jeff, so I think you should try and get ahold of him and break the news, or at least try to lessen the blow. As for the weird numbers under Steve's obituary, they look like coordinates on a 3-D graph.

The chords you found aren't actually chords; they're guitar tabs. An "E8" chord is the exact same thing as an "E" chord. But in guitar tabs, I believe that the number also stands for finger positions. My bad, guys, I'm a piano girl here. And a jazz one at that.

Also, I do work some with computer graphics. I'll take a look at it but since it's a jpg file it must have only one layer. PS: Photoshop CS3 is pretty sucky

It's really creepy that Steve is still emailing... "theta" I know is a greek letter, but that's the extent of my knowledge at this point.

Friend of nextday here, trying to help him out. Also a devious lurker who came late to the game.

I'm not very good with it, but I have photoshop CS3 if that might help. Already reversed the image, changed the colors and such like you all did but there arn't two layers. Extracting failed and the layer is locked. Normally it will let me click the unlock key but this one won't. Like I said.. not very good with this thing, but if anyone knows what to do with it and just doesn't have the program, I'd be willing to try it.

So this is what I'm getting from this stuff on the /mail. I'm spoilering it, just in case.

Steve is and has been dead for the past year and one day now. Jeff is obviously living in the present, as are we, as are sni and JB. From the 12/1 mail, it looks like Jeff might be the guinea pig for some kind of experiment that is seemingly enabling him to see and communicate with dead people. Perhaps there was something about the camera that "infected" Jeff? Whatever it is, we have to tell Jeff what's going on. And it seems like sni and/or JB are the one(s) who want to keep Jeff alive for this very reason. What I don't understand is how WE have been communicating with Steve, unless our interaction with Jeff somehow enables this.

Just thinking out loud.
