I'm pretty sure it's just the effect of the night-vision, although it is spooky.

I may be way off base but I think the guy we are calling Steve is actually JB (Jason Bullerman? - I think) because of this in the http://bullerman.net/mail/

I think this is snider telling JB (Steve) to follow Jeff and keep him alive. However, the next part is a little confusing:

Where it says "Keep showing them and I will let you free." that's the part that is confusing me. I guess the "them" is us but what about the "let you free" part. If Steve/JB finished what he was suppose to do for snider that might explain why he is suddenly missing. I think the Steve in the obit is not the Steve/JB we know. I think JB took on that identity to keep his true identity secret.

I've also been checking the cemetery for any Chalmers buried there. None found. There is also no one with the first name of Steve, there are two with the first name Grace and two with the first name Julius. I was trying to see if there was a certain part of the cemetery we needed to send Jeff to. http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ia/county/linn/cem/oakhill.htm
However, in light of the last message on /mail, "we will hit full force 1/5/08 , cemetery," I wonder what Jeff might be running into if he goes there.

He He...I think the PM read my comment about wearing his clothes to bed and felt the need to explain it.
I did mention the cemetery as well and he didn't say anything about it.
I think the Steve's look similar enough that it could be the same person. I can't be sure though since they're making sure we don't get excellant shots of them.

Yeah, I told Jeff that we all had a feeling that he should go to the cemetery on the 5th. As for this video, I'm not too sure what it means. Is the Steve in the video the same as the one in the obituary? I've compared the pictures, but it seems different, somehow. I don't know. I guess death can change a person?

I'm such a dork. I watched the video and my first thought was, "Who sleeps in pants with their shoes on?"

Anyway, the only thing I could think of from this was that maybe Steve used the time while Jeff was passed out to force feed him the second pill. That would explain why he still feels ok and why he can't find the pill.

From the bullerman.net/mail I get the impression that JB is Steve or vise versa.

I'm not sure what's going on here but for those who can't see it here's what happens.

Jeff is in bed asleep. A loud crash is heard and Jeff wakes up, rises up in bed has a look around then lies back down. Another sound not as loud as the first is heard and once again Jeff rises up and and looks to his left and says, "Steve." Steve then comes into the scene and attacks Jeff by putting his hand over Jeff's mouth to muffle his scream and then begins to beat him in the head with his fist. When Jeff is unconscious, Steve reaches for the camera with his left hand covering the lens and tape ends.

by the way, when I slow the video down the noises that we hear sound like the odd noises we heard in the video where Jeff was working in the lab when something went wrong and he changed into that odd creature.

What's going on? Why attack Jeff? What happened afterward? So many questions.

I stayed up all night a couple of days ago reading this entire thread. Fantastic story going here! Anyway I've been waiting with bated breath for something to happen now that the holidays are over.

I have not talked to them recently but I hope that changes soon. I was just saying how I have talked to them earlier in the game.

After seeing Jeff's new post and hearing the ideas about going to visit Steve's grave, I agree that is exactly where he needs to go. Hopefully we can get some more answers from Jeff soon, from those videos. Only problem is we were told to not watch the videos by Dan... *confused*
