I think this is the PM's way of telling us to do a better job keeping up the act of making sure we tell Jeff everything we find. It is kind of suspicious when people who are keeping such good contact with you about everything, suddenly go quiet.

I think acting dumb towards Jeff, about anything he mentions to us, will make him lose a lot of trust in us and that cannot be good. Maybe someone should email Jeff with some kind of story that is close to the truth but never mentions Dan or what is happening to him. Something like we are still working on the login and so forth for the /hide page and then mention a bunch of other things to divert his attention, like the cemetery or if he has had any more contact with Steve.

I think Jeff is referfing to the image of the pigpen cipher he saw on the main page of www.bullerman.net I doubt he has seen the message in the www.bullerman.net/hide directory and I don't think we should tell him at this point until we figure out what is going on.

I think that, if we are going to work with Dan to find out what's going on then he is going to have to work with us. (I think he said that) So, we either 1) act like we don't see anything on bullerman's main page and loose Jeff's trust in us or 2) we get Dan to create another hidden directory and give us a login/password to give to Jeff. As for what to put in the directory, I guess info that Dan wants to give Jeff or doesn't care for him to see.

Anyways, if this is what we decide to do, then someone needs to send Dan an email explaining what we want/need.

So I think he means he saw the post from Dan. I guess we gave him the site address at some point? Anyway, I played dumb. I said I didn't know what he meant and asked what he saw. If he specifies that he saw Dans post, then I guess I can't really deny it. I don't know if I should tell him everything Dan told us. I mean, I don't trust Dan at all, but maybe he's right about Jeff not being able to handle it.

I'd looked a bit around at some of the JASON stuff a while ago. I was curious to see if they list members but they don't, although now that we know these two are in fact in it, it's sort of redundant. And other than this it seems pretty normal as far as secret organizations go; a bunch of scientists working on projects for the government. Looking at the projects they have on their website released to the public, they seem pretty irrelevant to our storyline. The most connected one is the one titled "Pit Lifetime", about the radioactive decay of Plutonium.

It's interesting how it's named after a Greek myth, though. I wonder if this will play out?

Based on what they do, I find it interesting that Dan would mention "dark matter" in a context so far away from what it really refers to, unless this has a connection with modern physics. He IS pretty vague about it, but there are no articles connecting the study of dark matter to JASON's work.

Anyway, this looks like one of those things where we have to figure out who is the "good guy" and who is the "bad guy". We should definitely wait to find out more but I am guessing that a decision like this may be presented to us in the future.

And yeah doug, unfiction is lagging for me too.

I had a feeling his answer might be kind of vague as to what is going on. They reveal what they want to when they want to. This seems to be a strange mix of psychosis and the paranormal.

He may have said not to tell Jeff, but he also left that decision up to us. I say, for now, not to.

I think it's definitely worth learning about JASON some more, but it seems unlikely that they would post a project on their website that "cast aside...as someone who has lost their grip". This kind of project would probably be far too secretive for that. But it might help to see if there are any companies or places that may have connection to this on their website.
