not yet, as soon as I get something I will come straight here and post. However, if I don't get a response then I guess we can assume the PMs are ignoring it and that is not how they want the game to proceed. If that happens, then I don't know what we are suppose to do.

Fabulous email Sylvia. I think being truthful is really the best way to go. I posted a comment on the blog just now, nothing explicit. I think I may give Jeff a call tomorrow. I'll try as hard as I can to record it in some way so everyone can benefit from it. Even if that means a shotty transcription I have to scribble. Haha.
Strikethrough, if you could go with Jeff to the CR cemetery you would be my hero. Haha. And to answer a question posted a page ago, I sent Natas the grandfather of all texts updating him on everything that's happened. Unfortunately, he didn't text back. He might not have reception.

Welcome back Strikethrough. Yes, I remember that silly game. Glad you have decided to jump on board Findings Cedar Rapids and you might have a chance to visit that cemetery.

Ok, everyone this is what I'm going to send Jeff using the Advanced Text Cypher we started out with. But only if we all agree that I should tell him the truth. Because honestly, I don't know what else to tell him.

He says there is no way we can stop what has started,(once again he does not say what IT is) and the only thing we can do is to help you finsih since he is not getting what he wants from you. He says that we have only TWO PATHS either YOU SUCCEED or YOU and all of US who have watched (the videos) will follow Steve into the dark. He says we must help you control the dark matter so you can resume a normal life. However, life as we know it will change for all of us. To be honest with you the guy freaks me out.

He believes that you can no longer process this information and believes that telling you will only increase our chance of failing and that if you fail we fail and you and all of us will be cast aside like all those before you as "someone who's lost their grip."

This is the threat he gave us and if he is as psychotic as I believe he is, I'm inclined to believe him. He said not to tell you anything about him or that you would not exist anymore. So you can see why we have been hesitant to tell you the full truth or how to go about telling you. It was to protect you and give our selves time to figure out what to do. But we are coming to our senses and realizing that by not telling you may actually be putting you in danger.

Dan also said we should not go to the police. He said, "that would be useless as I don't exist." I don't know what he means by that unless Dan Bullerman is not his real name. But he also says we will understand in time. He says he wants to meet you at the cemetery and will let us know the time when he is ready. He says all he wants to do is talk but then he says, "Send him my way and we can get this silly nonsense over." Which worries me what he might mean by that.

So there you have it, everything that we know. Well, I did forget this. In order to protect you I told Dan to change the stuff in the /hide directory so it would be a good idea if you went along with us and pretend that you can't solve it either. We are doing our part, you will have to do yours. Just play along until we get what we need from this freak, mainly the pill and hopefully a cure and get to the bottom of what is going on.

Let me know what you think and how you think we should proceed from this point.

P.S. When the time comes and if you do decide to go to the cemetery, try to take someone with you. Let them keep an eye on you from a distance, maybe even tape the meeting. That way if something does happen and Dan isn't being honest with us you will have proof and an eye witness. If you want, one of us could do that for you. I think Strikethrough said he would be happy to watch your back.


So if everyone agrees, I will send this to Jeff in an email. And on his blog we should continue to comment as if we know nothing so that if Dan reads it he won't be any wiser. Let me know what you all think and if any changes should be made.

Hello, everybody.

I haven't been on here for almost a year- it's possible that some of you, Sylvia in particular, might remember an absolutely terrible Pay-to-Play ARG called "Township Heights," a game which managed to rather thoroughly turn me off the whole concept of alternate reality games.

That said, on a whim, I logged back into this place to see what was shakin', and I happened to get locked into this thread. I've spent all afternoon reading it, and I'm all caught up. Not only that, but I live in Iowa- like an earlier poster, I live in Iowa City. As a matter of fact, I had plans to drive to Cedar Rapids next weekend with a group of friends- if things work out well, I might even be able to visit our haunted cemetery (and maybe, just maybe, meet up with our schizophrenic demon zombie engineer friend). In other words, I do believe I'm in.

Also, regarding the emails we got from the ghost-who-is-not-a-ghost way back when? "a theta torn I miss to reap" contains letters enough to make either "reanimate" or "reanimator." Just throwing that out there.

anyway, Sylvia, just tell him everything i guess. Oh, and reasurre him how Dan simply wants to talk to him, I don't really trust Dan, but i don't see what would be the point of him harming Jeff in any way, unless he's lied....

I think we might have to identify the protein that this corresponds to. I'm trying desperately to remember everything I know about molecular biology. I've been reading up again on DNA translation, and everything is starting to come back to me.

DNA transcribes to RNA translates to Protien.

I know there is stuff within the RNA cycle but I can't remember it. I know mRNA codes for protiens.

I just found the table on Wikipedia that gives us the codon table for mRNA to protien. However I'm somewhat doubtful that this is a real protien; the first codon should be "AUG" which is the one which codes for the start. And it doesn't stop on a "stop" codon either.

DAMMIT I just did that all by hand and found a program online that does it for me DX http://www.cbs.dtu.dk/services/VirtualRibosome/ Paste in the ORIGINAL code. ">>>" means start, "***" means stop.

I also found http://www.bioservers.org/html/sequences/sequences.html, which lets you search for similar sequences. The first hit I got was a variation on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burkholderia_cenocepacia.

Maybe I'm looking too far into this. But it was fun anyway Very Happy

I've bothered to translate the code into base 4 using GATC=0123. Don't know if it's worth it though. I've inserted two line breaks to keep the page from being too wide.

There could be some sort of mutation or inconsistency in them. I haven't checked it yet, but DNA nucleotides can only bond with certain onces, so any inconistancies in the sequence would indicate a mutation.
