<bump>Hint and new still:
This is somewhat of an older movie. It did spawn a sequel several years later, which takes place more or less in real time (unlike in the first movie). And neither movie takes place in the US.

I didn't really remember those shots, but then I do remember the strangest bits of detail about The Player(damn cinema students).
