I hope so, too. I've thought a lot about the Borges thing, but (as usual) nothing seems to make sense in context.

well there was another reference to food on a larger scale, lunch, but made me think of food. in case no one knows what I'm talking about on his blog and I think in some emails he has mentioned several foods or drinks.
good news, bad new I really don't know how else to proceed.
got a reply from Ethan today from an email I sent a few days ago.

Dear Sylvia,
Not tired of hearing from you at all, as a matter of fact it is always refreshing (just wish I had better ideas to bounce back at you). I don't know, I'm trying to think if there appear to be any other common elements among the messages. There were a couple references to the Borges book, but those were in the same message. I'll have to look at those tracks again and see if anything JRRT leaps out at me.
There was something else that I thought of at lunch today that I thought might make sense with MSG4, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was (the one day I didn't have my pen and notebook with me. see.). I'm sure it'll come back.
Regards,
Ethan

I'm sure you are getting tired of hearing from me and my dim ideas but here I go again. Since, MSG1 was solved using a poem from "Lord of the Rings" do you think it's possible that MSG4 could have anything to do with that also. The CD you mentioned has a song title "The Land of Confusion." I was wondering if that might be related to "The Land of Mordor where the Shadows Lie" from "The Lord of the Rings." I have some other stuff from that line of thinking that may relate to "The Lord of The Rings" but it's 3:22 am and I'm begging to nod. Just let me know what you think about this and I will have a better understanding on how to proceed.
thanks

it was spam
ARGN deleted the comments. To me, that's proof positive it's spam.

to spam or not to spam?
you guys want to see something odd. take a look at the second comment on this page.
I know it's not the same as those beginning here on WhiteChapel, but you would think if they are spam the PMs would remove them from the site.
So, makes me wonder if the ones on ARGN are spam or not?

"I'm just the hired help.".
Didn't Winston say that in Ghostbusters?

Ooh, that reminds me. I was thinking that maybe the words were just in the wrong order, like maybe it should be "the sky point", "the sun trust", "the river gate", and (possibly) "the way light". Dunno where that would put us on the last two lines, though.
Dangitall, my email won't come up. Anyway, Sun Trust is a bank, Sky Point and Rivergate are apartment complexes, and I'm getting various business for other things I put into Google maps.

Hey, maybe I'll do a little bungee off a 70 ft. overpass with an 80 ft. line (might knock a good idea into my head... O.o). I'll think about it, but I wouldn't hold my breath, if I were you. You cats are the experts on that sort of thing, I'm just the hired help (3 bonus points if you can name the ref to that last bit). The only thing at all that hits me with a word assoc. is the 'trust the sun', because all I can think of when I see that is Sun Trust ('cause there's an office down the street) - but I realize that is probably less than useful.
Anyway, I'll keep an open mind and let you know.
More soon,
Jade

true so very true, in hind site we should have probably asked, "When do we need to meet Philly?" or at least that's all I can think of at the moment.

23:59 could mean all kinds of things. Just before the end of the game? Literally at 11:59 on some day or other?

Smoke
Of course... the one time I'm on Skype and forget to have the wiki opened up to the Smoke page, and she hits me.
Quote:
[9:34:07 PM] Smoke says: ?
[9:34:40 PM] perique says: melon
[9:37:03 PM] Smoke says: a time
[9:38:21 PM] perique says: when will we find out whether Whitechapel is Enclave?
[9:40:23 PM] Smoke says: at 23:59
[9:40:38 PM] perique says: thanks
[9:41:29 PM] perique says: how far into the Genesis CD Live Over Europe do we need to listen?
(The last questions wasn't delivered. Knew it was a long shot, but she hadn't signed off yet so I figured what the hell. Of course as soon as I hit enter, she was gone... neat trick, that.)
I also left a question on Ethan's blog and emailed him and Jade. Jade mailed back already but nothing substantial... I'll probably put that on the wiki to avoid more clutter here. I'm planning to work on the wiki some more tomorrow anyway.

Hey, Mort.
Wow, that's some hardcore deduction! I don't know, though; do you think this cat Philly was thinking Slider was going to be able to solve his little puzzle so fast that he (Slider) would be able to do "whatever" while he was still at Trout Creek? Or maybe you're thinking that Slider would leave, figure it out, then have to go back (thereby pissing him [and me] off to all new heights)?
As you know, I am more than happy to leave the gigaflop processing to you (especially with all the other fun that's been going on), so I haven't really given this much thought. My "Jedi feeling" though (which is based on nothing more than a short weekend spent on Degoba, and it rained the whole time!), is that this putz Philly would probably sent his pal Slider way the hell off to someplace else, given half a chance.
But who knows? (Oh yeah, I guess the Shadow knows... )
