Yeah, I'm guessing Mr Geary is one of the guys BTC. Looks like he's an ad writer, worked with Microsoft before.

Anyway, Nate's got a new post up in case that hasn't been posted (and trout me if it has).

"im sure whomever you were trying to transfer me to is quite busy, is there a better time to call and talk to someone live? or an email address?"
"sure you can have an email address. tom at tom gery dot net"
"can you spell gery?"
"g-e-a-r-y"
"thank you"
tomSPLATtomgeary.net
sent this email
"I called holomove to try and get more information on Dr.Gough, and they gave me your email for an interview, I am a Florida college student and am doing a paper for my science class on him. Any kind of interview or information i can get would be great! thank you!

Well, I just applied for the Sr. Software Engineer (Developer/DBA) position. So we will see if I get a response.

Sent in my lovely crafted resume and all. Turns out I worked for the Torchwood Institute, Credit Dauphine, and Second Life (I picked 2nd life since all this talk of holograms has me thinking about the Trek Holodeck and that reminds me of 2nd Life... wow- nevermind the tangent there! lol).

Cheers!

okay so i called holomove again this weekend, and nothing but voicemail. so i called again just now, and someone answered the line before the first ring had finished. a little quick for a real person... so the voice said
"Thank you for calling Holomove, how may I help you?"
I said "Yes, hi, is Nate Bozeman there?" the voice quickly replied
"One moment please..."
and then i was transferred to the same voicemail box. So, I think the line picking up wasnt a real person. Im gonna call and ask their address or something else, other than for someone so i can see if its a real person on the line...
*EDIT* HOLY SSHIZZZ!!! It was a real person! I just called again and asked for the hours of operation. The lady said "Our hours of operation?" (she sounded thrown off) "uhh, eight to five pm" very speedy of her. so we have like many more hours before she should stop answering. Its the same lady everytime ive called... Okay so the actress playing the receptionist is able to be reached at that # right now. Lets call her and ask her some questions people! Anyone at work and unable to call, start submitting questions, lets move people before the day is over!!!

I get that, but wouldn't you want to have a link that goes to the company that you're a recruiter for? After all, the link says "My Company", not apply here- plus she's got the application announcement listed separately without a link under her summary... I'm not saying its worth reading in to, just an odd way of doing it is all.

Not that strange, after all, she is the senior recruiter for the company.

I was looking through Nate's blog, and I noticed that he said that he played Call of Duty 4 on a post here.

I assume he's playing an Xbox 360, since the majority of CoD4 players play on XB. I personally don't have an Xbox (I have PS3 ), but perhaps if someone were email him or something and suggest that he noticed the blog and was looking for someone to play (or whatever pops into your head), we might be able to establish contact that way... If it works, we could establish a connection with him that would not go through his company, a way to talk to him while he is at home (or something). It just seems that it would be "safer" to contact him on his down time.

I sent him this question on myspace

I noticed reading your blog on blogspot that you kept up your spirits one day with a little CoD4. Do you still get to play much at the new gig, and what system do you use?

Maybe I can get a conversation going.

Edit: I find it strange that on Annie's LI profile, her company website listed doesn't go to the front page, it goes directly to the job announcement.

I don't think this was posted earlier, but Annie Goldstein also has an account at LinkedIn.

I've sent Ms. Goldstein an e-mail, asking about the strange e-mail she mentioned before.

Quote:
Hello Ms. Goldstein,

First of all, I'm sorry for my delayed reply. I was abroad to attend a seminar of Anees Ahmad, you know the famous Optomechanical Engineer. The riddle was kinda easy for someone like me, who really enjoys riddles, looking to the source code was enough to spot that the font sizes are references to the letters.

I didn't sent you any e-mails, so I'm not sure about the e-mail with the "strange code" you mentioned, I just used the application form at holomove.com and applied for Optomechanical Engineering. I may take a look at the mail, if you could forward it back to me.

I'll send you my CV as soon as possible.

With all due respect,

Cagri

It's been on my mind that this seems very well funded for something that doesn't have an obvious product attached.

Real briefly here- it was months- MONTHS- before we knew for sure that Tom Tooman was in fact the Jericho ARG. Hell, CBS put out a video online with an obvious "HEY HEY HEY TOOMAN = JERICHO" in it, lol, and we marked it off as fanfic. Regardless- as long as the product tie-in doesn't alter the game, we don't really need to know about it ATM. Keep digging. Smile

Hey, out of curiousity, anyone willing to send in a wrong answer? or say they weren't able to solve but would still like the position?

Maybe this is a game to promote resume writing services. Ahg. I sent a reply saying that I had sent my resume. Honestly if I have to write one I give.

I was also asked how I solved the puzzle. I told Annie that if you can get the answer to a puzzle on the internet you can also get the method of solving it on the internet. Probably not the right answer but it just seems so obvious to me, I mean not even my sense of TINAG will let me skip past that one.

I'm guessing we were/are still in the "recruitment" phase (I wince every time i hear that word cuz of HTH...), and it was a holiday weekend, so if I had to bet, it'd be that things will pick up this week.

Well the company's not registered in the State of California Department of Corporations; I checked.

My question: is there an actual game here? I mean, there was that one puzzle, but we have yet to see more. Seems awfully elaborate a setup for... what?
