Regarding Tager...I don't think he ever said he was from the future, that is the internet legend. But the legend has him being the inspiration for 12 Monkeys.
The real story is almost as weird...a guy at Harper's decided the attack was planned by author Donald Barthelme. The case is sort of plausible but it is the internet legend of Tager that seems relevant. For those interested:

Kyra's Vengeance
I initially got turnage and the time travelling guy confused. The time traveler is William Trager...related to the "what's the frequency" reference earlier.
that, in turn, supposedly influenced the film 12th Monkey about a time traveler coming back to prevent a massive epidemic.
We also have the reference to the Bill and Ted's excellent adventure, another time travel movie.
So what can we learn of BB the radio host?

here's the brian bricker/C.L. Turnage connection (C.L. Turnage was mentioned in cptholly's reply to Aki)

Quote:
Louis Alan Hazeltine (August 7, 1886 – May 24, 1964) was an engineer and physicist and the inventor of the Neutrodyne circuit, and the Hazeltine-Fremodyne Superregenerative circuit. He was also the founder of the Hazeltine Corporation.
He was born in Morristown, New Jersey in 1886 and attended the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey majoring in electrical engineering. He graduated in 1906 and took a job at General Electric. He returned to Stevens to teach eventually becoming chair of the electrical engineering department in 1917. The following year he became a consultant for the United States Navy. It was a position that eventually parlayed into a position as an advisor to the U.S. government on regulation of radio broadcasting and a later position during World War II on the National Defense Research Committee.
Can someone help me on the timeline here? Did cptholly start on twitter BEFORE the character of Holly gave the clues to BB?

Excellent find, Deep. Didn't see that earlier, but it seems like it takes some time for those things to show up on Google.
Anyway... hoorah for cryptic messages! The image, though, is curious. The '94501' is a zip code off the coast of California, on the island of Almeda which is east of San Francisco. The street address seems to be on a rue? Could also be an 'avenue' not abbreivated, but finding that address doesn't make it any easier. ): I'm checking over a map, but if that letter is totally authentic, the street names might have changed since Carter was in office.
Of note, there is an ex-naval base in the area--the Naval Air Station.
edit;; I emailed Val Seer a little earlier, fishing for some information:

It's all pretty meta, but I emailed CptHolly the other night. I'll post the whole thing here.
TL;DR version
I reached out to her to find out more about her warning off other players (as a new player). She responds in an interesting but ultimately useless wall-o-text of meta info. I ask a couple of questions that she dodges answering.
I don't think it's very important to the story, but there it is for prosperity.
I've reached the point of ignoring the interference from these people (or person, rather.. as I've a strong suspicion that monkeytribe = kade = de = captain holly).
I love the meta involved in the game, but this is boiling up further and further, and I have little doubt it will eventually culminate in an attempted gamejacking.
Although we only have one item
It's one you won't want to miss
If you look closely enough
It has two connections to this;
The game that you play
And the game that plays you,
One is very, very real
And unfortunately...the other is too.

Yeah, I'm not really getting anything conclusive, either. There's stuff about historical sites and some DDT/global warming links that looked sort of promising, but...not really. This is interesting, but not really related, I don't think.

I haven't had a chance to look at it yet - I've been busy trying to read all of TGATT. At first blush it appeared to be an IP address, but it's obviously too long for that. Anyone?
Keep in mind - that neither of these may be related.
I have yet to look over the other one, but this code can all be divided by nine, much like many of our number codes have been.
I call in-game. (PS: the same process applied to the string of numbers in the email address reveals "engima".)
edit:: the other email just seems to be more speculative meta stuff. The address she provided is actually this one, though.

Ok - either I seem to be attracting all sorts of crazies (no offense "Gradisca" if you're truly OOG - you know how it works ) - or this is truly getting into the realm of .. WTF?!?
At about 2am MST this morning, I received an email from someone named Gradisca:
Quote:
Hello Wulf,
I am not playing this game, but I am watching it with interest. What I am interested in is the Theresa Duncan/Jeremy Blake angle, so I'm keeping my eyes open to see what turns up about them.
I found something odd, and I'm not at all sure if it's supposed to be part of the ARG, which is why I didn't want to muck up your wiki or Unforum thread with a bunch of OOG stuff. But I did want to pass it along to someone in your group, because it struck me as quite a coincidence. (But of course I've been following the DuncanBlake saga for nearly two years now, so my weirdness meter may need recalibration.)
I was searching for mentions of Jeremy Blake in the last 24 hours and I found this site: http://www.indiegogo.com/DuncanBlake. Apparently indiegogo helps independent filmmakers with project funding and promotion. Chase Spivey from Norman, OK wants to make a film about Duncan and Blake. I googled young Mr. Spivey. He certainly appears to be a real person, and in a band called Ghost of Monkshood. His e-mail is ghostofmonkshoodSPLATgmail.com. It's a fairly strange web page. Can a kid in Norma, OK honestly think he's going to get a film made about this, especially since Lyonsgate has already announced one in the works? Maybe. If he's legit, God bless his youthful ambition.
I didn't know what to make of it, but there's not much info there so I let it be. Then, as I was browsing your wiki timeline the town of Norman, OK jumped out at me like a ton of bricks (or something like that). I tried to find Spivey's street address in the online white pages, and I didn't find an address for him, but a couple who appear to be his parents (I'm not sure if he lives with them or not) live about 5 miles from the Oakhurst Ave house in your ARG. Now, granted, how big a town can Norman be? EVERYTHING in Norman may be within 5 miles of that house. But it was strange enough that I did want to mention it to you all.
I honestly am not trying to inject the Duncan/Blake material into your ARG, so if you prefer to ignore this tangent, please feel free to simply do so. But if you do want to share any or all of this info with your fellow ARGers, you may share this e-mail with them, post it wherever you wish, etc.
Good luck and take care,
"Gradisca" (pen name to maintain my anonymity)
P.S. I know everything in these goddamn ARGs is part of the game and you're never supposed to admit it's a game, but please please please believe me, I am not part of the game and I don't want to distract you with any wild goose chases.
And as of about 2min ago - I received this from a Rich Adams(the_45_126_81_63_117_9SPLATyahoo.com). Ok - the numbers? If you add them together, you get 9.9.9.9.9.9...... 18 times. Which of course = 9 if you add it together. Ya dig?
Multiply 9*18=162, which if you add together you get 9 again. I'm so confused. If this is in the wrong thread, I really apologize.
