As much as I don't want to, I think all the clues have been laid out for us. We need to remove the wiki. We're supposed to keep our relationship with the writer intact, and the only way to do that at this point is to remove his material.

The Kelvin address emailed me this, titled "It's Why You Are Here", which looks like a piece from TGATT:

Quote:
As the young woman spoke, softly and without pausing, tears had begun streaming down Starr's cheeks, splattering onto the front of his red button-up shirt. His posture had gradually softened – surrendered – and his hands now hung close to the floor. She was putting words to the things that he felt but would never have been able to pack into any sort of understandable or communicable form, and she was describing some of his deepest, most shameful realizations and arguably his darkest moment, and did so with an accuracy that gripped his throat and twisted his intestines; as if his own conscience were somehow rebelling against him in the form of this dirty, teenaged girl.

"Bernard! Stay with me," she said calmly. "You're safe. Do you understand me?"

He nodded and straightened in the chair, wiping his running nose with the back of one hand.

"You know that none of this is anything new to you, Bernard. You're just not used to seeing yourself so clearly…or, worse yet, having someone else see you also. I know it feels dangerous, but it's really like looking at photos from a trip you took to the Grand Canyon. You're not going to fall off of a cliff in a photo, right? That's all these are, Bernard…photographs."

As Schwinn pointed out in the chat, we've already seen this before--it was in the chunk that Bricker labeled 'even more'.

This was probably also a reply/in reference to an email I sent out earlier to the Watchers with a copy of Bricker's note and a whine for help attached, hrr hrr.

also, since no one has noted this here yet: the Hazeltine blog has been updated with simply a link to oraclewatch.org--the Dali image is now clickable, which leads you to this page.

TINAG.

Blah.

I left an unassuming message on Bricker's home answering machine, since I figure he's out at work. Thank God, because I am not prepared to deal with an extremely pissed off dude on the phone right now. And I am not going to harass him about this, guys. Something doesn't feel right.

So, right. It's really up to him whether or not he wants to contact us now...

I just received an email thru our wiki from Brian:
Quote:

From: BrickerBricker
Subject: (No subject)
Date sent: 17 May 2009, 12:42 -0-600

Sir or Ma'am;

My name is Brian Bricker and I was just made aware of your wiki-site. I am confused and actually very angry about what I found here. You have posted stolen copyrighted material, used my name, the name of my deceased mother as well as various characters from my writing. This is all clearly without my permission and I demand that you cease and desist using any and all information about or by me. I would appreciate you resolving this matter immediately without me having to resort to involving my attorney.

Sincerely,

Brian D. Bricker

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get any information about the email address it came from, as he actually signed up as a user of WikiDot - so no information there. His profile doesn't tell anything either. Any thoughts on the response? We need him remember?

Email from Val Seer, as of about two hours ago, titled 'A Warning':
Quote:
you should now know that Bricker is real; be wary of assuming his involvement in these proceedings or you risk failure; he is very necessary to your final solution and you must protect the relationship

... is it just me or have the Watchers been getting more and more ... direct?

I believe this to be lies and falsifications by one Brian Bricker, classical! Now let me explain why.

Number 1: I was just browsing the site an hour before you announced it had been taken down. I've never done business through "blue domino web" before, but I've run a few websites, and even if you cancel your account, it's generally going to stay up until the end of your pay period. The only way to take it down right away is to delete all the files.

Number 2: The "cancellation" message is not from blue domino web. Hosting websites, most of them anyways, state very clearly in their TOS that they cannot modify your hosted content in any way unless it is violating federal/state laws or violating their TOS. Bricker's "cancellation" is coded straight into the index.html of his website, which would be a big no-no for a hosting website.

also, windupangel discovered http://www.oregonlotteryhelp.org/, a site which redirects to a standardized boilerplate page for a cancelled account. Granted, this account was suspended for nonpayment, not cancelled willingly, but it stands to reason that they would have a professional generic page for that as well. This is clearly a real and non-amateur hosting service.

Number 3: Come on, look at the coding in the source of http://www.brianbricker.com/index.html

Nobody but Bricker does HTML that way anymore, it matches up nearly perfect with his previous pages.

Interesting times. brianbricker.com is gone; the 'domain has been cancelled'.

Sounds like a home phone. I called it and someone with a southern or north east answered so I hung up. I didn't know what to say.

I'll call back if someone wants me to ask questions.

HAY GUYS

I only have a few seconds here, but: Bricker called. Twice.

Unfortunately, he had to call while I was at work, so no recording... not that much was said. I played dumb, giving him just enough for thought.

And he is very confused.

The first call mostly revolved around him asking if I had been sent anything else. The ticket, as he says, had been apart of a box that he had 'misplaced' somewhere between moving from OK to CA a few years back. There had been other things from his mother in it (probably the photos and the President letter and all that we've seen).
Syncs with Ron's story. So I wouldn't totally disregard everything Ron has said to us--he's still essentially a character in the game.

I told him that it had been sent to me from 'AR' in Santa Rosa, and the return address happened to be a Starbucks corporate headquarters. I mentioned that I thought 'AR' meant someone named 'Rage', hrr hrr.

As soon as I said 'Rage', though, I noticed something. He was breathing really unsteadily. Lots of empty pauses. I mean, there's good acting, and there's stage fright, but I don't think this was either of them, guys. I really don't.

Either way, I have his phone number and permission to call him again 'if something else shows up'. I could tenatively say that I've seen more, but I'm trying to play confused, y'know? (Not that hard, really, with a game like this.)

However, he called about five minutes later, which went something like this:
Bricker: 'Hey sorry to bother you again, but why did you think the ticket was sent to you by someone named Rage?'
Me: 'I don't know. That's the name he gave me: Arlen Rage.'
Bricker: '(huge, huge pause)'
Bricker: 'Oh. I see.' And he kinda flustered his way through hangup before I could another question in edgewise.

Next time he gets in contact, though... I'm gonna prod that.

More to come when I get off work in a few hours!

Someone can do me a favor in the meantime, though: research the number (773) 261-2483. This number called me about ten minutes before Bricker did, but I don't know anyone who lives in mid-Chicagoland. It might just be nothing, but... TINAG, right?
