Are the Chinese words on the paper supposed to be a "key" to something? Since he asked how to say "key" in Chinese?

Glad you brought this up, cuz I just had a bit of luck with it. My brother has circulated it through quite a few people, and the main comment he had was that I have really confused the Chinese community Smile.

That being said, there was a bit of luck, below is the original email from him, from his friend:

Bro,
Not sure if this will help....but you've got some kind of devil message on your hands.

Mike,

I couldn't translate it, so I sent it off to one of they guys I work with in China. Below is his response.

Micah,

This is an odd photo. I am not sure the meaning determinately. Just a guess, this is a small paper for pray for a child.

卡 康 手 奉 此 女
Should be a girl's name a word means honorific this girl

小畜
The girl's nickname

This should be the Chinese culture, or Buddhism, a girl who was just born, but always cried, her eldership just thought the girl might get a scare, then they asked for this paper from shaman, the purpose is to help the baby to get rid of something that are not good for her, and baby could be health and happiness.

The way I read that, is essentially a pre-printed prayer for a girl(baby?) - asking to basically scare something out of the child - and then asking for a long life (health & Happiness).
So far no one has been able to decipher the girl's name (in Chinese, it's not spelled like we do - but instead several characters representing different things are used to represent a name, so a Western name wouldn't translate well). The center symbol is believed to be the girls name - the rest of the symbols around it, are the prayer.

At least that's what I'm being told. But in a way, it kind of makes sense if you think of it in context with Jenny.

I'm so happy I live in Western Canada and am by default free from person to person ARG interaction (unless it was TT -_-)

You gave me a great idea with this, especially referencing Masonry and whatnot again.

Depending on which source you use, and which conversion table you utilize, King Solomon's Temple from the Bible works out to this:
120cubits long (180ft)
60cubits wide (90ft)
33.33cubits high (50ft)

I'm still looking for the perimeter of the temple for more measurements - but I suspect that's what we're dealing with. Good call Syn.

=edit=
Just to be clear, I found a few different conversion tables out there, that allow you to convert cubits to feet, and vice versa. They all end up with roughly different answers - but I do believe this is what our PM is getting at.

=edit2=
One other thing, but it's not really related - I'm also registered for the ARGfest. Anyone else going?

==edit3==
Last edit I promise.

Starting yesterday early morning, I started trading PM's with Rage. Some of you probably saw the strange replies between the 2 of us. To make a long story short, I discovered that he is currently unemployed as it were, and available for hire. So I'm trying to hire him. At first, the thought was to have him be proactive in "protecting" those of us that seem to be under scrutiny (seeing as apparently these guys have walked up and dropped a package into my mailbox, visted Class at her work, followed paperbound down Main street Shocked).
Instead, I've asked him to protect Jenny Chamberlain, and ensure she survives the meeting with the One. I've kept it relatively vague - prodding him with things like "I'm sure you know" and so forth, rather than divulging anything - relying instead on whatever knowledge he would've gained during his house cleaning of the Watchers.
I'm waiting for a response from him now, to see what his terms are - any suggestions on how to further proceed?

So now we have, in order:

perimeter
cubits150
cubits60
cubits21

either we have the dimensions of a place, or we have some kind of cryptic riddle that we need to figure out.

Unless this isn't following our count of blog warnings, in which case we might have more than 4..

and this

cubits21

I've been a little busy with exams for the past few days, so I haven't been keeping up.

My Internet connection's been out all day, and I just got back on.

Hayyy jaeneul! Welcome to the brood. :B
We would appreciate any help you can give! As far as I know, several Chinese speakers have had a look at it and couldn't make since of the thing. So we're stuck there. But uh, don't let that discourage you, haha.

I've been a lurker for forever, but I stopped coming to the forums for awhile cause of school. Anyways, I found this thread yesterday and spent the whole night reading all 70+ pages, and it might be too late to play now, but if you guys need any help with Chinese, I'd be glad to assist. Smile

I have to go to class right now, and I'm assuming you guys haven't figured out that picture with Chinese symbols yet? I'll take a look when I come back. ^^

Perimeter is usually notated by just one number (i.e. 60' perimeter) since it's merely the sum of all sides, but... maybe...

88 x 220 feet (60 x 150 cubits) is a very skinny building. About half the width and two-thirds the length of a football field. Not very large for something like an institute, but then again, we have no way of knowing. Could be comparable to that of a small apartment building, though... maybe it's a specific room/hall of the Brightman? I dunno. D:

Maybe its the courtyard that the Oracle spends her time in. Maybe that how we get her out. Port needs to get her into the courtyard and one of the Watchers will be on the perimeter and somehow get her out. I would love to see this map Hatch supposedly has.

If there is a fourth, my ten yuan is on burrito. However, I've emailed him a couple of times since he disappeared way back when due to illness and he hasn't responded to anything. Worrisome. \:

Maybe directions on how to guide Port around Brightman, when we are trying to liberate the Oracle?

I really think you're on to something with this one. The only part that doesn't fit for me - is involving people that haven't been around much, AND, how exactly, once their turn comes up - what are they supposed to do with the measurements?

we have a very clever PM. he or she has been trying to pull me back into the fold for awhile (see email i posted a few pages back). by involving me in a clue he or she is essentially forcing my hand.

i would assume the 4th is or was a fairly predominant player at some point who the PM is also trying to either lock in or pull back into the fold.
