Heh, Maury is the one who's posting on the Dark Bunny page. Kelvin returns again. Have we even tried to look into his involvement in this whole thing? He keeps reappearing and I think we're just passing it off as the PM feeding us info via a familiar face, but we never did figure out if there was anything we needed from him or to know about him.

Sorry for the delay in getting this posted ..
This is the email I received from Rage a week or so back, and this was my reply to him, and then his to me (and since I've noticed Rage seems to enjoy a bit of pop culture I threw something in that seemed fitting

Arlen,
I've re-read your email several times now, all the while considering my response.
Essentially, it's this; I'm sorry. I realize you probably don't want any sympathy, so I'll leave it at that.
If anything, we would definitely appreciate your help in seeing this thru to a favorable ending, and maybe it would help assuage some of the guilt you have felt, or maybe even atone for some of your sins - at least in your own eyes.
One question however, why can't you go near Lincoln? I thought at one point in time you were essentially working for him, acting as his agent? But if you can't get near him, can you confirm where in the Brightman Institute he is?
Ok, that was more than one question, but as is the case with those things, but one thing leads to another, one thing leads to another. Then it's easy to believe, Somebody's been lying to me. But when the wrong word goes in the right ear, I know you've been lying to me....

Wulf, my friend, I hear you...it's getting rough, off the cuff, I'm about to say enough's enough.
Have you ever been to Africa? There are places where the plains are dotted with anthills, rising like stalagmites from the barren desert floor. You can stand in the midst of such rough obelisks and never quite comprehend the scope of the bustling catacombs beneath your feet that connect them all together.
The problem, as I see it, is that you have been evaluating the anthills and assuming nothing is happening under your feet. There is a reason for everything whether you see it or not. Is that not life?
Make no mistake, none of this is going to help with any current confusion, but it should provide you with some perspective.
To me - it means its time to put all the pieces together. There's been something nagging me at the back of my brain for a few days now about all the Chinese symbols. I can't remember for sure, but it seems like in the beginning of the manuscript, where it was talking about the guards first few days at Brightman that he spoke with an old Chinese guy at a local bar or something - but I could just be getting that confused with something else. I intend to go back thru all of the manuscript we have - and everything else, just to be safe. Might be a little tough to weed out the gamejack stuff, but I think I know what's what by now.
But that's just my take on what Rage is saying. He's right tho. We have a lot of different, seemingly unrelated points - but we haven't ever dug very far.
Not sure how much digging I'm going to get done today, but we'll see.
=edit=
I had considered replying to him with something like
"I guess the rains down in Africa..." but didn't know if that'd be overdoing it..
==edit2==
I'm not sure if this is even related, but it's definitely strange. I got a tweet the other day from a TrisVonnaM, while I was on my iPOD. However, when I go to the website, that profile doesn't even exist anymore. And all it left me was a url http://bit.ly/qB43E. Which links to a YouTube video, a song called "Sing" by Blur...?

Oooh, the magic square rears its ugly head again. That's 14, right? If I'm remembering correctly, that's were we left off last...
Huh, really? Oh dear. Maybe I should take Port's silence as something else, then...
Well. For starters, we never figured out that Chinese symbol/prayer thingie completely. I mean, we gleamed some sort of translation from it, but where the heck does it fit in to everything?
I know someone suggested it might be for Jenny, but since the central symbol/the nickname is something like 'small animal' and, quite possibly, referring to rabbits, what if it's meant for... I dunno, us? We're the brood, afterall.
But I am also v. sleepy and writing down whatever comes to mind right now, so pay no attention if I'm speaking nonsense.
edit;; okay here's something fun
Port's blog, the Hazeltine Report, and the Brightman Oracle blog have all been updated with two words each, making this sentence: 'if you want to save me...'
and the Brightman has this image below on it, which links to Google.
So we're supposed to be searching for something, no? Yes?
edit edit;; as a side note, the first two blogs were updated by 'WTH', but the last one was 'JC'. Jenny Chamberlain.
edit edit edit;; ARHGHGHADKG goddamnit, I hate technology. It keeps "forgetting" to send me notifications when things are updated, especially the important ones.
Because, hey--there was a last piece of that sentence posted on the Oracle Project blog: 'email me'. Was posted by WTH. Emailing him, brb.

I'm not so sure about the vacation bit. I just for a replay back from Rage saying essentially that we're only looking at the tip of the ice berg and not the whole thing.
I believe there is something they're waiting for us to do. I just landed so I'll post his response as soon as I get a chance.

My ten bucks are on that the PM is out on vacation for the holiday week. :B I d/tweed'd Port forever ago and even he hasn't responded.
(Not that I mind, as I'm busy this weekend anyway! Less for me to get caught up on, ohoho.)

Could someone PM or email me a copy of all the important links? Websites, Blogs, Thanks to my old laptops untimely demise, I lost EVERYTHING! and I mean everything! Now that I have a replacement I can't find anything.
The only thing I could think of off-hand that was quick and easy, was the wiki. I'd give more, but at work, and actually working. Glad you're back though.

Thanks!! That should help catch me up.

ArlenRage: Alas, you have my condolences folded brood. On Starr's situation as well as the period of darkness that you are about to enter. Екклесиаст 3
Um, thanks?
That's Ecclesiastes 3 he's referring to, by the way:
Quote:
1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
9What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
10I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
13And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
14I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
15That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
16And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
17I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
18I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
19For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
20All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
21Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
22Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

So! I had an interesting conversation via text today while at work.
Folks, meet Chuck:
sent from Starr's phone wrote:
(707): I really would have thought a guy like Starr would have a nicer phone.
To which I sorta '... um' at.
I warn Port, in the meantime:
twitter wrote:
clas1ca: Shit. Port, just got a message from Starr's phone that was not written by him. Starr's either dead or in serious trouble. This is bad.
klokworkalex: What do I do now?
clas1ca: Man, I don't know. Don't think you're not safe there anymore, but I don't know where to send you. I'm at a loss, Port. Caught me unprepared.
klokworkalex: You're absolutely killing me here, Court! I guess I'll be heading out again. I'll stay local and check in as often as I can. Be safe.
And then back to textland.
textland wrote:
(952): Who the hell are you? Where is Starr?
(707): Starr is busy and it really doesn't matter who I am.
(952): Actually, it does. Identify yourself or give the phone back to Starr.
(707): Hm. I tried to hand the phone to him but it kept falling on the floor. Go figure. My name is Chuck, but I doubt if that helps you much!
(952): What?? What did you do to him?
(707): Sorry baby, I've got other things to do now. TTFN
Goddamnit.
So... Jacky has made his point. I don't know if Starr's still alive or not, but there goes Port's easy way into the Brightman. Now we have to do it the hard way.
Really should've expected as such. I KNEW Starr going to DC was a bad idea... /grumble grumble
