Hi All, i'm still in the process of getting everything together. Essentially I parked a few blocks from the cemetery in order to scope out the surroundings and look for a black Yukon. None in sight. I made my way past a beat-up blue motorcycle and shopping cart full of junk and the two grungy teenage gutterpunks sitting near the entrance (to whom i assume the aforementioned crap belonged). I would've taken a photo of them, but then I'd have to disinfect my camera, and that just seemed like too much work.
I'd run almost immediately into the "11" marker, and did a quick circuit in the vicinity of the couple (who I immediately dubbed Jimmy and Jackie Corpsewater). Unfortunately (as is the case with sprawling ancient cemeteries) there wasn't much of a pattern to the numbering, 11, 9, 14, 14, 8...
long story short I headed deeper into the shadowy oak infested belly of The Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery, keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary, praying I would somehow manage to spot a bright yellow marker reading "22" in this sea of oak trees and crumbling marble...
and viola! there it was! it was at that point that my mind kicked into high hear and I drew out the composite of images we'd already receivied -- the bench, the tree, the wall, and turned slightly to my left.
There it all was. right next to the grave of Wainright Finlay 1866-1878. I knocked away the piece of loose mortar covering our suprise and right behind it was a souble-bagged printout of the esoteric variety.
you've already gotten my horrible color photo, so here's the horrible black and white scan..
That's pretty much it. I hung around a while and looked for anything else out of place, then made my merry way back past Mr. and Mrs. Corpsewater and headed off to work.
Nice catch TheCheese! Obtusitivity was the one who went to the drop at the Santa Rosa Cemetery so that is Ob's flicker stream. Maybe another drop there? I new that name kept sticking out in my mind like I had heard it somewhere.
Also, Princess Di died on August 31st. I have no clue, maybe it is an important upcoming date for us?

So the only thing I'm getting out of this is, perhaps, this may be in reference to the quote Schwinn refound recently about the bisquits and gravy:

JJDeMolay: And since I'm stuck here, I'll recommend Charlie's 'Bisquits & Gravy' - http://tinyurl.com/da44a4
But er, I'm seriously grasping for straws here. Might also be because I've been staring at it for the past fifteen minutes and I'm going slightly crosseyed now. Stepping away from the computer...
In any case, I forwarded it to Rage, since he seems to have the utmost trust in this Randall fellow to lead us--but man, I ain't trusting a guy who can't keep his shit together.
edit;; his response:

Odd... even odder, I just watched The Soloist for the first time on Thursday night, haha. Unfortunately, I can't find any hidden messages in there either, but I didn't have time to look really closely; if I can come back to this later though, I will.
As for Bricker's reply... wow. I don't even know what else to say about that. But, it looks pretty clear that we're either A) his only shot at maintaining reality, or B) just screwing up his life beyond comprehension. I don't think we should break contact with him; in fact, I think that we should try and strengthen it. I'm guessing that the sooner we finish this thing, the sooner he'll be pulled out of that nightmare. Not to mention that he's supposed to be really important to the rest of this, so we need to make sure that he doesn't lose himself completely.

Wow. Just wow. That was probably the most random tirade I've ever seen. The scary thing is - someone had to think that up sober, which makes it bloody brilliant.
I'm sure there's at least one important thing in there, but it feels like there's a few. Honestly, I can't wait to dig into this one - unfortunately I at least have to wait till later tonight.
In the meantime though, here's the reply I got from Bricker - I can't recall what I originally sent, cuz I sent it encrypted - but you get the gist of it from his reply:
Quote:
Life has fallen apart for me ever since returning from Portland. Car suddenly repossessed although I never missed a payment, I've been selected for a 'random' IRS audit, lost three sure-thing writing contracts for no clear reason, and one of my daughters has come down with an illness that the doctors can't figure out - been in the ER four times in seven days - talking about sending her to specialists now. Everything sucks. I can't really help...in fact I'm fearing that you all may have been figments of my imagination. Getting harder to differentiate. Don't have the energy for coding messages and to be honest I really don't care anymore. It's all stupid.
The man is obviously being hammered at pretty hard, poor guy. I guess the Feds finally found someone they could pick on. From what I've seen of these guys, they've never been very good at taking even fights, or even fights where the odds are against them. Instead they pick on some guy that wrote part of a story. That and old blue-haired ladies. I'd invite them to come after me, and leave Bricker alone - but I think the 3rd grader they have to read to them is taking a nap, and off for the weekend.. (abuse of government power is a real pet peeve with me).
I'm going to compose a quick email back to Brian, and I still haven't heard back from Rage.

I can swing any DC/NVA meets. (maybe)
I wonder if the meet will be in a Starbucks?
Looking through the thread I found some more tweets...

Maybe we should ask Rage what he thinks? I mean, if he's given us clues to these places, then he would know what Randall was referring to. Probably. On a side note, have you heard back from Bricker at all, Wulf? Looking back at Randall's initial email, he gave us a pretty big poke in Bricker's direction.
Wow - great minds. I just got done sending an email to Rage, letting him know that we have been delayed, that Randall gave a vague clue as to where we might have to be meet him based off some vague clues that Rage has given to places he's been.

Unfortunately I doubt it's going to be that easy, with the way he phrased it

Most likely it will be some other cryptic hint, that unfortunately so far - we just haven't been doing well with it seems like. At least to me - it feels like we've been missing a lot - kinda like not noticing the thing about meeting with Randall.
I hope we're right about Rage's clues only being from his recent tweets - and not the ones from the expired account. That will certainly make this a lot more difficult. And when my 'puter crashed - I lost a ton of info. I think there's a clue in what Randall said about the meeting places though, in the way he's phrased it. That being one of the 3 places Rage has "given you clues to, which says to me, it's not any of the places he's come out and mentioned, like Ireland. I'm thinking more along the lines of when he mentioned the Safeway(? it was Safeway wasn't it?) - or the vague references to places, like where he stopped for a drink, etc..
I dunno - just tossing out ideas..

That makes sense, classical. Unfortunately, we don't really have any way to be sure until Randall gets back to us. I'm not sure if we get to choose, or if he's just going to tell us "Be at X in two days." Hopefully the former.
In any case, out of all of those mentioned, the only one remotely close to me is Oklahoma City, and that's still about 3 hours away (even more if I'm back in school before our meeting time.)

My feed reader has a small cache of JJDeMolay's tweets. Unfortunately, it only goes back to April 20th and he only mentions two places:
Quote:
JJDeMolay: Enjoying a beautiful Virginia night. It's strangely quiet here. Kind of nice.
JJDeMolay: Was making arrangements to visit Mr. King, but discovered that he is being flown to DC. Curious, is it not?
Fortunately, I think we can narrow this one down a bit more without them. I don't think Jacky tweeting about his places of business are 'clues', necessarily; I'm thinking it's gonna more along the lines of the places he's used for his puzzles before.
So let's see: we've got the Santa Rosa Memorial cemetery, the Holocaust Museum in Oklahoma City (remember that? feels like so freaking long ago)... where else would there be? Apparently there is only one more.
... what about the Curran Theater?

There will need to be a meeting with me before you can coordinate the island assault---but it is too dangerous right now. 081509 has been compromised but we must get this done before 090909. You will know when it's safe. We will meet in one of the three places that AR has given you clues to. Be ready.
Cheers.
The place Rage has given us clues to eh? Would it be as easy as the places he's tweeted about in the past - for his travels? And if that's the case, how can one person be at all those different spots, assuming that some would be able to make it to one place... etc.. etc..
Great! AR tweeted about a lot of places. The problem is most of the places he mentioned were before his JJDemoly account was deleted. As ArlenRAge he has only mentioned a few but none of them seem to be concrete clues.
I went through his tweets and pulled what looked like might be clues from him.

Haha, alright, well then that answers the question about whether or not to proceed as planned on the 15th. I don't suppose someone can remind me what locations Rage has tweeted about?
