Usually it's the players that ping an admin in the IRC channel or via PM here on the forums to advocate for a move.
That's always been the way at these forums, just so you know: there is no vast conspiracy or strident judgement call about these things.

Hahah - dunno, but good question. I know that shortly before the fiasco with this being pulled off the forums, that it was being considered to be moved over to the CF section. But I suppose it's possible due to the bad blood, that it won't happen.

Well, to say the least, he certainly takes TINAG to another level, haha.

Our PMs are certainly not stupid. Everything that I read through that you guys went through seemed carefully planned out, though some wrenches were thrown into the gears. Somehow, the PMs sorted through all of that mess and emerged with a (mostly) cohesive story. We know that they check up on us here, so they know that they'd be hard pressed to get us out to Cali. I can't imagine that there's any solution here other than getting Bricker to meet with him. But that'll probably be easier said than done.

Since the beginning of this game, bounds have been blurred: those between IG and OOG, those separating who was on whose side, and those separating this reality from the other. We can be certain that the other reality (that of Port and Rage) is not a complete alternate reality (maybe this isn't an ARG after all... haha.) There are just too many parallels. I'm wondering if Jenny will sort all of this out... Maybe if/when we rescue her, our two realities will snap back to where they're supposed to be? Or maybe they'll merge completely? Or perhaps, we're just looking at this completely the wrong way.
In any case, playing in (and therefore existing in) multiple realities introduce certain paradoxes that sometimes cannot be avoided. This game requires us to exist in more than one reality at a time, which leads to confusion as to what is "real" and what is "the game."
[/PHILOSOPHY]
Haha, that was probably way more than you asked for. Just helps me to get it down where I can come back and reread it after the fact to see how far away I was from the truth.
tl;dr: Randall and Bricker exist in the same reality and state, so they should meet instead of making Wulf make a costly trip to Cali.

As I re-read thru this again, it makes even less sense to me. He's paid to help us accomplish one specific task, break Jenny out of the Brightman Institute, right?
1) Who is paying him? Holly (Ernies daughter?)
2) Jenny and the Brightman are fictional - and uhh - if you wanna throw back the curtain, so is he. Unless of course we're back to speculating on the possibility that we're dealing with multiple realities converging....?
Call good old Randy on those points. Ask for specifics:
a) whats he being paid for, and why does it require a face-to-face
b) who is paying him?
Its not his choice as to whom we send to meet with him - fictional or not. For someone being paid to complete a very specific task - what IRL would be very illegal - asks a lot of questions and makes a lot of demands. If it were me in his shoes, I'm not gonna want to meet anyone face to face. Plausible deniability remember?

Rrrr. Bit my tongue (fingers?) and kept myself from sending back a pissy reply to our buddy Randall. I reminded him that there are less-than-fictional friends in the area, so here's hoping he doesn't totally shoot Bricker down.
'Cause if he does, the PM's not just making this difficult--he's making this ridiculous.

So at this point, we either get some third party to help us or... we just don't show up. The latter of which would make this a huge fucking waste, in my opinion.
Unless, pfft, we get Bricker to help out? I guess he's more "real" than Rage or Port is, though only to a point.
Wow, well this guy is pretty straightforward if nothing else. I think Bricker is the obvious choice right now - and the correct one. However, if I'm unable to get out there, I got a PM from another unFictionist offering to get to the meeting if it's close enough, otherwise knows people that would be able to make it - so we have that going for us.
So I guess until we get a date/time/confirmed spot we wait and see.

I am so confused right now.
But uh, despite that, I don't think getting Rage or Port to meet with Randall is gonna work.

I really dont think he/they would expect us to put out a ton of cash for plane tickets (round trip), hotel stay, rental car, plus the extra necessities like food drink, gas for said rental car. So unless one of the lurkers that lives in the general area steps forward, it looks like Port and Rage would have to be our best choice.
Agreed

You make a good point, Wulf. The PMs are aware of our locations (at least, as far as I know). I'm sure they wouldn't put something somewhere far away from all of us. Besides, Port and Rage are pretty close to where we think the meet is anyway, so it would make sense to send one of them (or both) to meet Randall.
I was a little skeptical about the whole making one of us to go to Cali thing (what if none of us could have gone?), but now that you mention the Ernie thing, my doubts have gotten stronger.

Haha, being different can sometimes be good, Wulf. Especially in this case. I'd much rather see Randall's wishes carried out than having to change the plan up.
So I guess what this means is that we need to solidify where and when, and once Wulf can say for sure, then Schwinn should send him the yuan. Yes?
[OOG] (is there such a thing anymore? OOG?)
I started thinking about this right after I posted I might be able to get down there. Which made me think about the point in the story where Ernie wouldn't do/say anything till he met with one of us face to face. Which of course, ended up being Port.
I can't see the PM's really planning a point in the story that would require one of the readers to spend enough money to buy a plane ticket to wherever. I suspect this will probably turn out being similar to the meetup with Ernie, where one of the other characters will meet with him and relay the necessary information to us. There's actually quite a bit involved with scheduling a "live event" like that - meeting with a character of an ongoing ARG. As much fun as it might be - I don't think I want to spend that kinda $ just to meet a character in a game .. know what I mean?
If there has been a live event planned - I'm willing to bet that the PM's have arranged it to be near one of us - rather than expecting someone might be willing to fork over the money for a plane ticket/hotel/etc.
All of that being said - hahah - I might still be willing to do it - lol - if I've got enough skymiles left after my trip to Portland for the ARGfest.. cuz then it's not $ out of my pocket...

Here I go having to be different again. If I can get enough advance notice..(no subtle hint there) I could probably make it out to meet Randall. No promises on this one - but it might be possible, that's all I'm saying. Most likely I'd have to make it an In and Out trip, meaning I'd fly out the same day I flew in - but Cali is only a 1.5flight from where I'm currently parked....

Seriously though, as much as I'd love to go out that way again, I just don't have the resources to make such a trip happen. It's looking like our buddy Randall's gonna have to come up with a plan...I've lost track of what letter we're on now.
