At first, I was like "Who's Justin... I can't remember reading about that character..." but then I caught on. I guess you come off as intimidating, Wulf. Hopefully when all of this is over in a few weeks, Bricker will be able to finish his story, and he'll get back in touch with reality, and you two can be friends again, haha.

brb DYING OF LOLS
I guess so! The waiting game begins anew.
In the meantime, Bricker's been uh, sorta chatty! And by chatty, I mean oh lordy lord:
Quote:
You are really great Courtney. I think I remember these things and it's a comfort that other voices out in the wilderness verify them for me. It helps to create a tether to hold me through the confusion and fuzzy braned problems I seem to be having right now. I tried to write the end of the story today and just sat and stared at a blank screen...as always. I sense something coming as I try to write. I see Rage and Jenny and you and Port and Justin and Lincoln swirling before me. Did we actually meet up in Portland or was it by a vide monitor of some kind? Everything is so distorted in my brain. It's like after my mom got sick and ended up as a quadraplegic, my mind systematically went back and updated all of my memories of her so that even during the times of my childhood when she was healthy I now remember her in an electric wheelchair.
I had a dream last night. It was late at night and there was a single illuminated window at the Brightman. Waves were crashing impossibly high up the stone walls. And the heavy doors swung open and a figure emerged, arms outstretched as if emulating the crucifuxion, and there was a darkness that poured out of the building, moving across the water like a black fog. The figure walked across the waters of Bodega and the darkness enveloped the beaches and hillsides and the houses. I could hear the splash of the water against the boats, distant tinny bells, and then I was face to face with it.
It was Justin. Tall and thin, grinning, cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth, and eyes just two black orbs sucking in all of the light around them. I woke up and couldn't remember who Justin was but I knew that I feared him. I turned on the TV to relax and I think I saw you both during a late night infomercial. Or you might have been in an audience for a cooking show. Were you? I changed the channel and saw you in the back office of a hotel, you and Justin, getting a package from a hotel safe. A pretty blonde woman in a uniform was helping you. You got the package and you both turned to the camera and told me about your lives and I told you about mine and we knew each other and were friends. Now sometimes I think we met through the TV. But sometimes that doesn't make sense.
As for your question about the yuan, I had to put it in a plastic bag and drop it into a garbage can in Phoenix, Arizona. It was by Sky Harbor and marked with a yellow smiley face. Val showed up in my medicine cabinet one morning before Portland and told me to do that. Wow, that doesn't really make sense, does it? Maybe she was on the TV. I don't really remember now.
I'm trying to write the end Courtney, but nothing is coming. And I'm starting to fear Justin. And myself.

I should probably not find our writer's apparent spiraling madness so damn funny, BUT I CAN'T HELP IT I'M SORRY bahahahahahahah
If anything, Wulf, maybe this answers your question as to whether or not you should show up. Bricker will be too scared of you to be of any use, apparently. |D

So then the thing we do is just wait until the assigned date?

Yeah, that was a ...little odd, but I dunno. He already very well knows none of us are anywhere near the area, so he can't honestly expect us to make it there on such short notice. I drained all my spare funds on Portland, anyway. Which was worth it, but I have to throw my cards in now!
Really, man, I wouldn't worry about it!

Whoo read through all that in less than 24 hours. That was a read and I'd like to jump in too. Originally came here for the Junko storry but this one seems a lot more interesting.
If anyone would like to shoot that archive my way, it'd be much appreciated, seeing as most of the blogs are blank now.
Also, as evident by my location, I'm a bit out of the way for any meets/drops but should Port, Rage, or Randall want to get some sun, I could deal with southern meets.

The more I think about it, the less odd it becomes. Bricker, as a character, asked for accompaniment at ARGfest and both Wulf and Classi showed up.

Wulf, I agree with classical. It doesn't sound like any of us need to be there, since Bricker will be. However, if you want to go, more power to you. I imagine it would be interesting to meet Randall in person.

For some reason, our school week starts on Wednesday. Not complaining though, cause that means I don't have lab on my first week. Sweet!

Hi Alex!
Hahaha, that is bizarre, because I have an old friend from MN who goes to Berklee, or she did, last I checked. Though she plays violin. ;B It's been like eighty million years since I've been to Duluth and I feel I should visit soon (I hit up Stillwater every so often for antiques, and that's like halfway there, right?!).
As far as the secret clubhouse goes... like Wulf said, it's really of no use to us now. Unless the thread gets pulled again or something.
Also! Wulf, it is entirely up to you, man. If you have the time, money, and means to go there, it's not as if I'm gonna tell you not to go. ;B But if it's something you need to completely rearrange your schedule for, then I seriously wouldn't worry about it... we have Bricker on our side, afterall!
Another thing I remember talking about in Portland was our poor abandoned wiki and how we ought to get back to editing it... at least to get an up-to-date list of contacts and relevant websites. I might try to do that, give it some love and spend some of my remaining free time on it, as I go back to school on Monday (ffffffffffffffffuck).

Welcome Alex, glad to have you aboard.
As far as the secret hideout, Classy and I talked about it a bit back in Portland, and aside from being kinda funny for us, as the PMs not being able to see what we're doing, there's not a lot of point to it now. It was originally created back when this thread was pulled down. And to boot - due to my 'puter crash - I don't have the link either..
I've been thinking and wondering to myself if I should go with Bricker to the meet in Santa Rosa? I don't know if I'd be able to at this point, but theres a small possibility. Thoughts?

Haha, I know how you feel, Alex. I just jumped in a couple weeks ago, and I read through the whole thread too. Granted, it was a bit shorter then, but not much, haha. Congrats on making it through that marathon.
As for the clubhouse, I can't help you there. I don't think I ever got the link for that, but I'm not entirely sure that it's still relevant. Since the PMs backed off of uF as IG (as far as I know), I'm not sure that such a space is still needed or used.
But I'd be the wrong one to ask about that. Wulf? Classical? Wanna take it from here?

Welcome to the Folded Brood Alex. Anyone who reads all 96 pages and still wants to jump in is OK in my book. I wish I could remember the link to the super secret club house, but my comp bit the dust and I lost all of my bookmarks. As the the blog check page 90.
Yeah, guess I didnt read EVERY word. Whoops!
And if anyone has a file or anything where they are saving all their relevant links (blogs, twitters, unsolved puzzles, anything and everything) and would like to PM me or email me that, that would be amazing. I saved some stuff as i went along but i was too caught up by the story to save everything.

WOOOO!!
Just ran into unfiction around 3 days ago, and discovered ARG's for the first time (I had heard about them before, but never actually known how interesting or involving they could be...), through /x/ because of that silly "creepy video" thing, then found my way here.
Just finished reading my way through every word on every one of the 96(!!) pages, as well as most of the extra credit stuff. And I know I'm incredibly late to the game, but I'm really excited to be a part of this (whatever might be left)...I already feel like i know all of you just from reading that.
TL;DR New, Reads fast, Excited.
I'm good with this kinda stuff (google power user, etc, etc) so I'm excited to help out with whatever I can.
I found one thing you seem to have missed: http://foldedbrood.blogspot.com/
In the poe poem, there are occasional letters in a slightly different font colour, which read:
Quote:
iwillleadyoutotheonewhodidALlOfthIs
so: i will lead you to the one who did ALl Of thIs.
Not sure if the caps have any meaning, other than convenience.
I just read through, but my minds a bit of a jumble (info overload, GOSH!) right now, how did you find that blog again?
I also have a question...I read somewhere about a "secret hideout"...how do i get an invite?
And Classical: MN native here as well, I'm from duluth. I'm a viola player (classically trained since age 4) and I go to berklee in boston right now (in MN atm, heading back to MA in a couple weeks)...i have a feeling we probably at least know each other by association, lol.
Looking forward to being a part in this! Ill be out of any communications range from tomorrow through sunday, but ill be back with a vengeance.
Nice to meet you all, I'm Alex.

Oh! Sorry, haha. It was the code that Bricker forwarded to Wulf and I, back a few posts. Um, I'll edit my post. |D
Considering that it was given as instructions to Bricker, I think we have our someone to meet up with Randall or Val or whoever is showing up... (though I'm pretty sure the actual Val is supposed to be dead? Didn't someone get an omnious email back from that account after the Watcher murders?)
Either way, I replied back to him, telling him the exact spot in the cemetery (grave marker 22/Wainright Finlay's grave) and encouraging him to go.
edit;; speak of the devil:
