But I think I recognize James Franciscus.
Il gatto a nove code (The Cat O' Nine Tails)?
You have indeed found it!
I guess no one recognized the table-top grid as being a crossword puzzle layout. Blind Karl Malden maybe wasn't enough to get you there. I did repeatedly mention the "American actors", hoping someone would realize that this was a foreign production, plus there were those exotic milk cartons. It's one of those where you can see the Italian actors obviously speaking Italian in their scenes without the Americans, and the entire soundtrack was redubbed, even for the spoken English. I got the DVD in our office gift swap -- not a Secret Santa, but the Yankee Exchange kind with intentionally bad gifts. Here were two frames which I originally pulled from my DVD, but then realized that you could google-search the text (or maybe find the character name in IMDB) -- thanks for playing! Go Rogi!

as promised -- unfortunately I now realize that it puts "shaving guy" in poor lighting, not much help. I can't mess with the DVD now, but after work tomorrow I'll try again.

I gave up on Robert Conrad getting a shave.
But the last one MIGHT be Karl Malden. In which case, I'll try, "Billion Dollar Brain".
No on Robert Conrad, no on the movie title, but a yes on Karl Malden. I apologize for the poor quality of the frames. The movie was an old print which they didn't bother to restore before slapping it onto a cheap DVD collection. I'm ready to start taking yes/no questions to give clues, and tonight I'll upload the last shot I have with the two American actors together in one scene.

The Stepford Wives (1975)?
sorry, no.
I'm running out of intriguing shots. This next one has the name of the character right on the apartment door, so I blurred it out.

I'd have guessed George Segal. But can't find a movie that 'works'.
How about, "Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine"?
