Nice spotting that. My post made a mistake on bolding the end lines, so that should actually just be "gmix".
I noticed the last few lines contained random words like "no ratio" and "clupea harengus" and "clupea pallasii" which are a type of herring (possibly a crack at "red herring"? Mean anything to anyone?

Now, there's quite a few words I see here reading vertically - child, many, the arm, warn, who has, fall, the, walk, this, warn (again). there seems to be a few other words that are split in half - i.e., after 'this', you get pa(h)th. I think there is a message there vertically, but requires us to remove more letters this time

Apparently no one mentioned this yet, if you rearrange the line order a certain way... You get another segment from "The Ecchoing Green".

You start by taking a number according to the element's atomic number. "H virulum N. Hydrogen is "1" and Nitrogen is "7". The equation 1/7 is equal to a famous cyclic number, 0.142857, in other words, a number that uses a vinculum. You start by using "142857" and order the lines using those periodic numbers.

In the e-mail the elements are organized alphabetically, and nomad's now organized them by atomic number, but maybe there are other ways of organizing it still? That could be what the Hydrogen Vinculum Nitrogen is leading to...

Also, nomad, you've got a couple lines backwards there - Be comes before B on the periodic table.

By the way, NH3 means that there are three H atoms to one N atom per molecule. Multiplying a line three times doesn't really make sense, what else? I leisurely tried removing every third letter in some lines, but that was also wrong, apparently.
