Orein and Miller were indeed very good friend, even before I came to the company. I came to the company on 1993, two years before they started the Whispher project. Then on 1997, Orein had his small "experiment" on himself and inevitably caused an irreversible side-effect. Of course, Miller thought it was gone after he called his friend Orein crazy and had him sent and checked to a mental institution. I, on the other hand, tried to listen to Orein, and that's how I knew where this company will go and how it's going to reach it's peak.
Yes, Orein still experiences the so called voices, I still can't say who or what those are and where they come from. But Orein claims he needs to "get there" because he needs to. He really insisted, and he basically halted all his help for the company, which is why there was not much development for the company for the past year. So I just had to help him out, which is how we came up with this supposed to be smooth plan.
Another email I thought was funny.

And I was already relaxed and supposedly just watch all of these unfold. Now I'm here in the cold doing it myself.

Dan had Genus checked into a mental institution after he tested himself on Whispher... wow. I'm speaking with Alex about Genus' blog right now.

Looks like your waking up was timed perfectly. Literally just got this:

It took me a while to respond, I had to assemble an appropriate team for the situation because I can't expect Mailler's team to be, you know, alive. Thankfully, his team is up and well, no casualties in his side. And yes, he is VERY mad about all of these. We were able to pinpoint why the reactor control is "unplugged" and that was Miller's team's fault.
In the process of resetting LAINSY's security, the inevitably forgot to reset the hardwire controls of some wiring and failed to follow some standard procedures when dealing with hardwire connections.
Now, we're preparing a team composed of mine and MIller's hazmat team to go into the facility. They were able to manually lockdown Level 16 and above, so level 17 and below are all biohazard zones. Unfortunately, we can't check the status of the reactor since it is "unplugged" but we've checked the status of the systems monitoring the situation and LAINSY's mainframes are being boiled right this very moment. Let's just hope we still have something to startup when the team reaches level 57. And also, let's hope the heat won't melt the Antarctic away.
For a moment, I just thought that we shouldn't have pushed for this. But then, the more and more I think about this, the more and more I believe Orein about his claims. He was a very bright person, maybe if only Miller had been a better friend to Orein might have not planned any of these.
Also, if you go read the previous posts (which shouldn't take long, most are just repeating what the website said), you'll find the messages/images decoded. I'm not sure why you'd need the encoded versions. (I don't have them anyway)
Also, I PMed thebruce.
EDIT: It also looks like someone cleared the error logs.

Waiting for Security Mainframe . . .
is all that remains.

Can no one upload the files I missed? Please and thankyou in advance!
I just woke up, so I'll have a look at the messages now.
Edit--Those files are linked from the site, which is broken. I would just like the original files for archival purposes...

Well I was hoping this wouldn't pick back up until I got back from visiting family. I'm still planning on participating in this, but I have some catching up to do.

As for the blog, the code seems not too complicated, really. The only issue we are going to encounter with it is that each symbol except for A can represent two letters instead of one. (and SXZ can be three)
Also, based on the example words, it seems to be semi-phonetic, like a debased version of shorthand. What I mean by this is that you can leave out letters and sort of continue the the sound of the previous letter to fill in the gap. (The "GUH" sound of G forms the GOH in GOHSA, and the slight "EH" that can be pronounced when saying the sound of an F helps make up the I in FIY.)
Exactly. Sounds like a form of shorthand or possibly a language of some sort. I'm pretty well versed in languages and I don't recognize anything.
EDIT: I wonder if we are dealing with something extraterrestrial? Why would Genus post this on a blog anyway? It has to be a message to somebody.

Ok, bit of a break from the stream for a second - I haven't been following failtech really, aside from minimal lurking, but it looks like there's a decent story going on here... anyone care to summarize what's happened and what's going on and whatnot? PM me if you can tnx

Holy crap!!!! I go away for the weekend and we end up on the verge of complete armageddon? I'm STILL trying to get caught up. So I guess we are still waiting on Alex to contact us from Antarctica? Wow!!! Talk about intense!!!!!

I missed... EVERYTHING! Balls. I was the one who first chatted with Alex Sword. I was basically pissing him off. I emailed Alex just now, pleading for help. He doesn't seem so heartless lately.
Edit--Can someone upload the enigma, SSTV, and any other files I now cannot access? Please?
Edit--Newer images on Genus' blog imply a coded language to decode and understand.

HAZMAT suits or something similar, I suppose. We don't know about all the projects there, so it's difficult to tell. If the biggest danger is that bacteria though, something akin to a space suit would be enough- air tight and insulated against the weather. That would potentially also account for the radiation, if something did indeed go wrong with a reactor core and it wasn't contained. Nuclear reactors tend to be built with worst case scenarios in mind, but then again apparently so was LAINSY...
