You transcribed the morse wrong. It is strict decimal form, which is decoded to have a text form that matches hex, decode it as hex, and you get an encrypted text message. Currently trying all common cipher tools.

That's pretty much what I was thinking zobot, I think Dan has been "terminated" in one way or another and Alex or perhaps another entity at FAILtech is keeping us on their hook because we're a valuable asset. In fact the more I think about it the more I suspect that it's someone else within the company, not Alex.

My take: Alex wants Dan out of the way but thinks we're too handy a resource to give up, or needs us for some reason. He gets Dan's email account and is using it to pretend to be Dan and give us jobs to do while keeping his "OWN" hands clean just in case he needs to contact us as him again.
It doesn't have to be him, Alex, but I am suspicious...

Well, getting back to the Morse code, I got this far before I accidentally clicked the scroll bar and lost my place. I'll translate this much and someone else can get the rest.
EDIT2: Not immediately hex or dec/char. I'll find an octal decoder and try that.
EDIT3: Not octal.
EDIT4: Tried bouncing between hex and dec/char and vice/versa. Just kept spitting out gibberish either way. Not sure how to decode this one.

First of all, the fact that these two haven't communicated immediately raises eyeballs due to the fact that Dan has supposedly just arrived in Toronto, the same location of this Marie person. Second, Dan has been actively emailing us these last 24 hours. i really don't know who to believe here.
EDIT: And, to add to the Aperture confusion, FAILTECH just made this @reply to Aperture, adding to the confusion as they acknowledge the game (Portal 2) by referencing it.

I use an app on my phone from Hotpaw that seems to work pretty well. Good job so far. Busy right now, but I'll check back this evening and see if I can lend a hand.

Ok, here are my slowed down AUP and MP3 files together in a zip should someone else wish to have a go at the Morse. I will now try CWget once more. EDIT: Ok, I'm pretty sure CWget is utter crap. To manual decoding! AWAAY!
EDIT2: Ok, I'm not done yet. Need to go do other things. Here's what I have so far: The time I stopped is marked at the end, and one point where I saw a .- but wasnt sure is also marked.
Also, I'm confused... the FAILTECH Twitter page retweeted a few tweets from... Aperture Laboratories... Is this meant to suggest that they reside inside of the ARG's universe, or does the ARG just recognize them as a fictional group?

Yeah, that's... Very interesting. I wonder if they'll be acknowledging Black Mesa or Abstergo or Gentek, or anyone else, really. It does seem like a world-building thing, but if it escalates it may be a flat-out hint.

Well, I got the SSTV decoded (yes I got an SSTV program to work! Now I just need to convert it. Unforums doesn't seem to allow bitmap files...). Still trying to get anything out of the other file. Doesn't sound quite like Morse code to me. It's too repetitive. CWget gets nothing from it. Going to try MRP40. EDIT: That program doesn't seem to work on my computer.
EDIT2: Here's the SSTV image decoded. I really don't know what to make of it. Still nothing on the second sound file.
EDIT3: I'm an idiot, this is definitely Morse code. It's just going a little bit fast. I'll record the file and slow it down a tad. Then, if CWget still can't understand it, I should be able to copy it manually.

I can't get the website to load on my phone so I will have to leave the decoding to you guys for now. One question that has been bothering me is, why is genus sending out coded messages that other people than Alex can see if everything is going according to their plan?
