Apparently we must complete the bonus round to get a move on. Do you really think it's a place in the 'real world'? Because it's not that easy getting 10 local people to go and leave a signature and seek knowledge. It would make more sense if it was website?
O.o Curious.

As that sentence doesn't mean anything to Grace, maybe there's more to it? O.o I have no idea what to do though. And nice work on the letters !

Here's the message and how to get it...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Take either the first letter or the first two letters from each word (except for Milligrams we will use Mg). Look up these letters on the periodic table and grab their atomic number. Change the numbers into letters based on their place in the alphabet.
P S F B H Si Be H Si Be Mn Mg P P Na Ca P Ca O B K Ca H Ar K
Already commented on Grace's post, but not sure if there's more to do on this or not.

Ahh, so it is the periodic table. Using the first 26 elements then converting to letters.
Should have got it from Mnemosyne ( Mn = 25 =y ) Mayberry?

Here's what I'm working on for the Crypto. I'm assuming the periods and commas are word breaks. This leaves you with 9 words which matches the number of dots on the table in the doodle. Also, I suspect the double dash (--) signifies that 2 letters need to be used either from "beam" or "hold". So maybe:
psfb hsbeh sbm mppn cp cob kc h ak
or
psfb hsbho sbm mppn cp cob kc h ak
I'm having no luck with either one, though. And I'm too busy at work to mess with it now, but maybe that'll help someone.

Alright, so posted as a comment on Grace's blog was:
Quote:
the island of misfit toys said...
so close you think you are
and yet so very far
so concentrated on the zoo
perhaps another clue
use the first letter
and sometimes the second, too
(there's one word where we cheated
but what else could we do?)
that's our last clue
we hope it helps you
now we'll put on our hats
and go back to killing cats
I'll start looking on the words.
Edit: Oh! We made riddle 2 and 3! Excellent.

wow! it's unnerving in a funny way that grace is looking for clues in places that are really close to where i am.
