William Blake: "To see the world in a grain of sand, and to see heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour."
Albert Einstein: "Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another."

waiting. this seems well worth waiting for to continue.
I have been following this and I am in suspense of what story is beeing told, you are doing very nicely playing this, in a way I could not. I'm in awe. ingredients like a librarian, faery magick, ecologist themes are all like catnip to me. but I will not try to be involved at this time, I can't see what good I'd do.
but my reflection so far following this is that this is all reminding me of Guillermo Del Toro. my fav movie of him is Hellboy II. as I am a librarian, I think of the new book by this filmmaker/author, by the name of 'Dont Be Afraid of the Dark: Blackwoods Guide to Dangerous Fairies'. I believe it preeceds a new movie by him. http://www.dontbeafraidofthedark.com/
9/23/11 is the equinox, yes. So there is a month left.

The next step is to stop Forest. But actually, we will be waiting until August 23rd. The autumnal equinox.
Where did you get that date from? Also, the autumnal equinox is on September 23rd, not August, so we might have a bit more waiting to do...

ddl, why do you think "Father seems to be an inherent part of Forest"? If Forest is a golem then that would explain why he has always repeatedly said Father must be "obeyed" since golems seems to always obey the person who activates them.
Great point. Do we still know who Father is? He might be fully aware of what he's doing to the Green, but not Forest.

All the Watchman wants is for Forest to stop draining the power of the Green. Father needs to be stopped, if he is responsible for reanimating Forest. The Green is very delicate, yet strong, even in its current stature.

No, as Forest is a golem he is animated by magic a.k.a. the Green.
Thus stopping Forest and cutting off his energy supply would result in his death/loss of animation.
Father seems to be an inherent part of Forest.

Why do we have to choose?
I am not clear on what "stop him" means. Does it mean deactivate the golem Forest? I asked the watchman this but just got a autoresponder reply. Forest is not the problem imo. I don't remember Forest ever mentioning green. The problem is probably Father. So deactivating Forest would not help the green fix whatever problem they are having.

Ahhh, the good old 'make the players choose opposing factions' trick.

Forest should have never been resurrected. I'm with the Green. I've already shown my devotion by filming life, not traipsing around the dead.

That was what I was afraid of. I am afraid my journey with you all (as allies) ends here.
