Ahh, school, glad to see the code was solved. It does sound like maybe she has DID, some alts do write to each other. It's not too far fetched to think that maybe she would write to herself in code. But as for killing Karen? She's also hesitant to talk about her mom (but we are strangers on the internet).

I've probably missed it, but who wrote the notebook? Was it the Jester ? O.o
Hi. definitely who wrote the notebook. Maybe someone hidden inside Grace? Have asked Mummer's Farce a question relating to the author 'tho.

Grace responded to the comment with the decoded notebook.
Quote:
That's...disturbing.
And probably complete lies.
She sure is determined to push us away from anything that links her to the name Karen. It's like some big plot hole that we're never going to figure out. That, along with the references to Punch and Judy and the other twins, makes me feel like there's something we're missing that's literally right in front of our face.

Perhaps the more revealing segment of Trilogy of Terror is "Millicent and Therese".
Grace responded to your comments, Dia and punxtr, she says "If you want to tell me just tell me. I don't know why the secrecy."
Other than that there's been nothing. Odd, normally we'd have a new puzzle from the Jester by now, but I guess not because the cheat code gave Derek all his needs for a week?

Entry 6 is similar to a poem called Antigonish by Hughes Mearns. Don't know if that's useful but there you go.

The next pages
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Entry Four How did Karen die? Not with a bang or a whimper. She died with a whisper. She whispered to me, "I don't thik I'm needed. She barely remembers. Anything." Then she said, "Nox you see me, now you -" and she was gone.
Entry Five You do not have any friends, do you, Grace? I am your only friend in the world. I know things your brother does not even know. Although he has a few secrets too.
Entry Six Yesterday upon the stair I met a woman who wasn't all there. She wasn't there again today. What will it take for her to fade away.
Left typos in tact as far as I know. If I screwed up at all feel free to correct me. Hope this helps. Not sure what it leads to though.

Thanks. I'm a huge fan of the Myst/Uru games.
Here is the link to the key I drew up for those that are interested. It should make decoding future pages of the notebook much easier...assuming the cipher doesn't change.

Substitution deciphered
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Entry One I made up this code so nobody will understand this journal especially not Grace. I like writing under her nose. Sometimes I want to just kill her but then I know I will die as well.
Entry Two I am so lonely. Karen is dead - has been dead for many year(s) and Grace does not even remember anything. She does not even remember Karen's name. It is like she never existed. I am so lonely.
Entry Three I wonder if I should help her. She does not even know me, so would she help me? I will wait. I will wait until the time is right before revealing myself.
I'm working on writing up a key to make the next set of pages Grace posts easier to decode.

Three pages of substitution code for new Grace blog. Won't be able to look at it until tomorrow, after this headache goes away.
