Actually, I didn't even use Google...I just noticed the Wonka bars and thought "Well, why not?" Smile

But anyway, I have a bit to decide on what to do. The lottery is a great thing to ask about, so I'll definitely put that one on the list. If anyone can think of anything else that we'd want to ask about, please, please let me know. I want to make this count...

Beat you to it, I'm afraid...you're right, though Wink

I sent in my answer and got this in reply:

Quote:
You have one choice now: We will answer one question to the best of our knowledge or do one act within our power for you.
Understand that we cannot do anything that would harm any living thing, including ourselves [the Green]; this would therefore preclude the ignoring, continuance of granting energy to or remedying as it stands Forest's condition.

We are glad one has proven themselves worthy - there may be hope yet for others.

You have until the sun sets tomorrow [The day of Odin] to make your choice of worth. If it is not decided upon, the opportunity will pass - no second opportunity will be provided in this instance.

Yours,
The Watchman.

That's a big choice...not sure what to do Confused

The author is most likely

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Roald Dahl who died in 1990 and, among other things, was buried with his snooker cues, HB pencils and power saw. Among the many works he authored were Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roald_Dahl
and a short story called Lamb to the Slaughter
http://absolutenglish-972.pagesperso-orange.fr/notes/mysteries/lamb_ce.htm

One of his most famous short stories is called Poison www.daltonvoorburg.nl/file/5148/1068724056/Poison.doc
It has a krait in it which is a kind of snake but I am unclear as to how to answer the Watchman's question since just "krait" doesn't seem like the answer.

I have bronchitis which is slowly turning into pneumonia so am going back to sleep now. Hopefully someone else will be able to figure out what exactly the Watchman wants.

Answer within 24 hours and you will prove more worth...
...which we 'may' reward...

The Watchman - still in custody of Forest...

Key words I thought of:

casket (meaning a dead author, perhaps)
three brushes
45
dewalt/walt
wonka/willy
lamb/lambe
1990

I did a search for flags with blue and red:

Gonna go jogging now.

Another email! Definitely a response to something I said, but here you go:

Quote:
ACCORDING to one mode of regarding those two classes of mental action which are called Reason and Imagination, the former may be considered as mind contemplating the relations borne by one thought to another, however produced; and the latter as mind, acting upon those thoughts so as to colour them with its own light, and composing from them as from elements, other thoughts, each containing within itself the principle of its own integrity. The one is the to poiein, or the principle of synthesis and has for its objects those forms which are common to universal nature and existence itself; the other is the to logizein or principle of analysis and its action regards the relations of things, simply as relations; considering thoughts, not in their integral unity but as the algebraical representations which conduct to certain general results. Reason is the enumeration of quantities already known; Imagination is the perception of the value of those quantities, both seperately and as a whole. Reason respects the differences, and Imagination the similitudes of things. Reason is to Imagination as the instrument to the agent, as the body to the spirit, as the shadow to the substance.

Poets rise from the natural world - their imagination rose from the Green...

The Watchman

Certain letters were colored. The green spelled out:

Quote:
dot to dot spear to star similar to a mystic rose

The red:

Quote:
seek stars from stars

I feel like it's so close, but I can't quite figure it out Sad

Ah...ddl, it was "23 09" and "09 04", so by that logic, it would be April 9th, not 4th Wink Suffice it to say that I think it could be a time, so perhaps September 23rd at 9:04 am/pm?

Edit: There we go...I guess now we have our time limit. Thanks, Lystella Smile

I also have part of an email to share with you all...this came at the end of a response I got a couple hours ago. I would have shared it sooner, but I couldn't while I was in class and away from my computer:

Quote:
The stars have not yet thrown their spears to one another yet we note - for one would mention it at least in passing...
Yet you move to the next and the next and the next - rather than seeing the whole. Like one country leading to another...

The Watchman, in custody of Forest... for now.

I think you're right about the date, ddl. According to a website (which I can't link right now since I'm on my phone), the Autumnal Equinox is on September 23 at 9:04 am.

[quote]time is not on your side for too long, as the numbers we gave you should tell you... [quote]

I keep forgetting the PM is a Brit. 23/09 is the 23 of September. So the other would be April 4?

Without a doubt. The PM loves these kinds of connections.

I know you are, but what you said still describes The Watchman fairly accurately Wink

As for the bit that I shared from the PM...I thought it was appropriate and I love his tone! Smile
