Have you informed Genus about the plan? If he doesn't want to get seen, we might need to tell him to keep a safe distance and they'll rescue Emily for him...

Okay, an email from Daniel...
Quote:
Ok, for the first question if they have weapons... No... Well, not right now at least. They haven't been designed to carry any since the prototype designs were focused on traveling only. If we need to make modifications, we will need to re-design the ship... Might take two weeks before we could complete one in normal prototype manufacturing process. Why'd you ask?

For the next one, if any kind of "alien" or someone form another time would actually take the ships... Then, it's highly possible... Assuming they have technology advanced enough to actually do so. But, like I said before... We do have some backup access to them in case we may need to take them back or destroy them if they do fall in the wrong hands... Again, assuming they have technology advanced enough, this backup might actually be useless. Am I on the same thoughts that you guys have some sort of information of an alien attack?

Anyhow, who is this we need to rescue? I could of course assist, as long as it's definitely something great and worth while. Ok as you say, everything will be kept between you guys, me, Alex. He's quite busy right now. But, if needed be, we can get him along.

And from the Netspec...

Thank you. Is there a way we could contact this friends of your so that we could communicate directly and be able to plan out properly? It is vital we be able to execute it properly so that we can assure her safety. Also, we were able to determine the location of the entrance through some survailance. We're quite ahead of you and was already able scout things out in the islands. 28.59757, -13.9810

I'm going to tell them both everything and get them together. It's time to get this done.

EDIT: It's done. Both have been sent emails with contact information. I hope it's not too late to save her.

I sure hope we don't have to wait until tomorrow to see what is going to transpire.

I'm guessing we need to save Emily first? Either that, or the Orkudusu comes and we're screwed... The Byruniuku has already left, right? Or no?

Okay, here is the reply from NetSpec. Looks like he is ready to go get Emily. I think it is time to tell Daniel and Lainsy so they can help if needed.
Quote:
Thank you for the coordinates. We arrived on a nearby safe house before we fully deploy to save her. Do you have any contacts thay may be able to help us? We'll be situated on this location: 27.9278, -12.93358.

Anyhow, I do agree with you. Maybe we shouldn't alert them, yet. If we can still fix this, then we should. However, if they have advanced ships and so on, how can we battle them?

I'll send him an email back telling him that we are going to get him some backup. Let's see if we can get Emily safe and then let Lainsy unleash the EGS at 100% charge on their a$$e$!

EDIT: They are in a town on the African coast called Rue Mejjat. It is directly adjacent to the Canary Islands.

Dan Miller sent out an email:
Quote:
We are now beginning to deploy the first batch of GRS (Galactic Relay Satellite) for the DSN (Deep-Space Network) which should be able to extend the outer space sensor range that we have.... there will be 14 satellites to be deployed, which will create the same type of coverage the GeoSatNet (Geostationary Satellite Network) provides... Which is 4 satellites in the norther hemisphere, 6 satellites at the equator, and 4 at the southern hemisphere... Providing redundant and more than sufficient coverage. The first batch of GRS will be be located approximately 1ly from the sun.

Maybe you ask, how we could do this fast? Well, our ships are equipped with DSD (Deep-Space Drives) which allows us to travel 1ly in approximately 2 days. Of course, our ships also has some impressive sub-light engines that can go as fast as approximately 30% the speed of light (approximately 99,930.8193km/s, which means we could travel around the Earth roughly 8 times in under 1 second). I can't disclose much about the engines we use, but I'd tell you that they use massive amounts of power. Thankfully, Klein Energy produces top-notch energy products (and very efficient having ZERO emissions) making them very suitable for outer space.

Due to the current speed of the DSD, they aren't exactly very suitable for far travels, especially they aren't exactly easy to fix right now. Almost 80% of the ship is non-modular... Which means if a non-modular section breaks... We'll have to re-build the entire ship. We're improving the designs, We're getting there. But if you ask me, the "first step" of getting the Alpha Centauri is VERY easy to achieve... Just under 2 weeks to get there. That is if we could pack enough Oxygen and supplies on the ship to get there and back.

Anyhow, if you have any questions regarding this, don't hesitate to ask, as long as I can answer them.
Not sure what to think -- sounds like they're setting the stage for something big that's coming? Has Emily been found yet?

Well, the only thing I had was that the NetSpec replied to my email asking if they could help us save Emily. All I told him was that we knew she was being held near the Canary Islands off the coast of Africa.

Quote:
Thank you for the information... can you give me a much accurate location? We'll get to her as soon as we can! In fact, We'll be heading there now. It took me a while to read email because we were quite busy.

We were able to intercept a couple of messages we believe is important. I think we know something IS going to happen. Hopefully, it doesn't happen by the time we get Emily back.

It appears something is coming. Something, or SOMEONE is coming. If our theory is right, especially when put in context with what you say about the Byruniuku, then I believe we're looking forward for an alien invasion.

Well, not exactly aliens since, as you say, they are still humans... Just the future us. But it appears that these people, are coming. I believe people not associated with the Byruniuku. People we should probably fear. People that doesn't care about us here.

I don't know... If they invade us, wouldn't it be wrong? I mean, if they alter the past would their existence just be void? I mean, grandfather paradox. Don't you think? Maybe there's something.... Something we're missing... Something we should know that we don't.

Oh god, so much involvement with you guys has been complicated. But then, I feel honored to be a part of this. One of the few who knew ahead what will happen. Should we send out this information to the governments of the world? Or would they just laugh at us screaming wolf?

I don't think he should tell any governments and I hope he isn't right about the Orkudusu coming here! I'm going to ask for the messages and probably give him the coordinates for Emily. We'll see where it goes from there.

Ok, we think we have it right and have located where the beacon is coming from. We are getting a location just off the coast of Africa near the Canary Islands. 29.0549, -12.0657 to be exact. Is that where you think Emily is? Can we get Daniel and some troops to go down there and extract her? If not someone from Failtech, we have some outside people we can probably tap the resources of. Of course, we can always have Lainsy send the drones to get her. We have noticed the activity going on with the EGS. Who is it preparing to transport? Let us know what we need to do.

His reply...
Quote:
Thanks, already got coordinates ahead of you guys. I just wanted to see if you can figure it out. Anyways, I'm having some trouble to save Emily. I'm worried. It seems Orkudusu has her. I can't figure out a strategy to save her. Yup, the real beacon location is on the water, however, they might have been taken it out in transit. They are in fact on Canary Islands, as you have mentioned.

Also, it's dangerously close to the Atlantic Rsearch Platform, of FAILTECH. I don't know about you guys, but I smell trouble. If the Orkudusu figures Emily has veto access to LAINSY, we're screwed.

Didn't get much out of him about who is boarding the EGS. Sounds like we are supposed to focus on saving Emily. I have an idea. What if I ask Lainsy how to save Emily. See, Genus told us not to let anyone from Failtech know about him being back and that Emily is in trouble. Either that or I'm going to get Daniel and/or the Netspec on the job.

I filled in Netspec about how the beacons were Emily's beacons and that we've found her location and we are sending FAILTECH to retrieve her (note: didn't give him the coordinates). His reply:
Quote:
I see... I don't mind if Emily is taken care of FAILTECH. However, the problem with Pedro, I don't really know what to say about it. Who would wipe his memory? Maybe he knows something so big, they wiped his memory?

Anyhow, based on the messages we've been intercepting it seems the Byruniuku's are planning to leave... I do mean, leave and go somewhere. Not exactly sure, but if I remember your explanation correctly (one of you guys who work in this sort of undercover work with some FAILTECH higher-ups) you say the Byruniuku are not from this planet. Then probably, just my theory, they are planning to leave the planet?

We're still not sure why, and when. But it seems the are preparing for it. It seems they know it very very well, whatever is going to happen. Probably something really grave for them to have the need to leave. We still have to investigate this further. Also, I know you have some connections in the higher ups, can you verify the information for me? Maybe ask around? Thanks
Netspec must be referring to the people who are boarding the EGS. Why are the Byruniuku fleeing the planet? I'm not in touch with Genus, so could those of you who are ask him? That's probably why Genus is very busy right now. In the meantime, I'm asking Alex what he might know.

Ok sent Genus an email with the coordinates and offered to get Daniel and company or our NetSpec friend and company or Lainsy and company to go extract/save Emily.

Ok, an interesting email from Daniel to start with...
Quote:
No problem! In fact, we've got Pedro on hand... However, seems like we have a tiny small problem... Well, Pedro doesn't seem to remember anything. Really, he doesn't even know who he is. We checked him if he's lying, and he's not. It's a dead serious case that he doesn't know anything, at all. We might need to jog around his memories and stimulate them and see if they come back. He knows he basic language, however, he seems to forget some other kinds of things. Heck, he doesn't even know how to eat. It's like teaching a 2 or 3 year old.

Yes, I'm dead serious about that information. This investigation might take a while. We're still waiting on LAINSY to see if she can locate his FIRST team. They haven't showed up, yet.

Board of Director, FAILTECH

And I've gone over the calculations several times and I end up pretty close to what you guys (zeighy and themedic) got.

29.0549, -12.0657

Which is indeed in the ocean just off the coast of Africa near the Canary Islands. (One clue that says this is the correct location is our frequent connection to birds throughout the story. Cooincidence?) Just by using different significant digits and rounding differently, we could easily move several kilometers in any direction. If you guys agree, I'll send an email to Genus to make sure and then see if Daniel can scramble some resources to head down there.

Edit: Pretty funny post on the Failtech Facebook page...

I got a slightly different answer though... 29.74653, -12.0657 which is south of what you got... maybe I just did something wrong... anyone who could double check?
