In this scene, is there a helicopter not far away?

Wow! I guessed cause your pic reminded me of Big Tuna, and you're dealing with a big Lynch fan here.

So sorry about the Oscar/Grammy confusion, guys. I could claim I never said it was nominated for an Oscar, but as I was thinking Oscar when I wrote it, I'd be less than honest. I was thinking Oscar due to just having gone through the actors looking for Academy nominations/wins.
And, I thought the gold was more obvious than it apparently was.
In the last pic, the actors are (left to right) Omar Sharif, Telly Savalas, Gregory Peck. Again. I thought they'd be more easily recognized.
"Western Movie Gold" is the Google search I was talking about, previously.
I hadn't seen it since I was a kid and am glad I checked it out, again.
ETA: The new movie... Con Air?

Actually, that last one was the gimme. If you Google the genre of the flick along with what's prominent in that pic, it'll be the first hit.
What's prominent?? I see a rock face, same as the rock face in previous pix. And a patch of sun. As for genre, for all I know at this point, it could be a religious-musical-romantic-comedy, because I've tried everything Western in the bunch.
Is that Telly Savalas? I'm just as bad with people faces as I am with rock faces, i guess.
He believes that McKenna has seen a map which leads to a rich vein of gold in the mountains
but that title does not appear to be on the Wiki page I linked to earlier? Doh! It was nominated for a Grammy, not an Oscar. *sigh*
urthstripe was correct! And i found enough screen shots to confirm it in my mind. Well played!

Mackenna's Gold?
I don't see it as being nominated for Best Original Score...

I can say that it's the only movie I know of where a 50-ish, straight guy can say, "Scarface was hawt" and not get askance-glanced (Hesh-Ke).
Here's a rare pic where 3 recognizable primaries are in the same frame:

Concentrating on the last pic, as you search, should save you some time.
nothing in the last pic looks any more or less significant than the other pics...
I'll try Arizona (1940) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0032221/
but really doubt it, as it has two nominations. I've looked at all the titles thru 1980 (really doubt it's newer than that). I'll keep looking... naw, i'm about to give up. Is there really a "gimme" shot left?
