In the page source, it references two video files, presumably the faint animation of the spheres you can see in the background. There are two files, one mp4 and one ogg, but they are different.
I first assumed it was the same video, just in different formats for different systems, but the videos are actually different, the mp4 has some stutter and cuts out like a projector reel, and the ogg is smoother.
However I lack the knowhow to mess around with them and see if they mean anything.

I considered perhaps it forms an image, but 237 frames makes only either 3 rows of 79 (as split above), or 79 rows of 3. Even checked with a non-monospace font but couldn't see any image or word form at any length.
Trying various representations of dit and dah lengths, I came close to english words, but nothing complete or sensical...
eg, converting _ to dit/dah, one could possibly see:
Code:
.-....--.-.....--.-..-.---.....
which could roughly produce REIGNSEQUEOEH
Basically any transcriptions I get require some loose dit/dah estimates... nothing conclusive from me. Maybe someone else can have better luck
with that line of thought, notice the graph paper background has 16 x 16 squares. doubt it might be something but perhaps filling it in there might produce something?
also, just noting the possibility that the morse gif starts with an underscore, so it's possible that it's two words and possibly anagram.

Concatenated all the frames then stretched it to make it a bit more viewable.

I keep wanting to think of this as the space jockey transmission... aka deleted scene thing. So what is universal language? Math? Binary?
short mark, dot or 'dit' (·) — 1
longer mark, dash or 'dah' (–) — 111
intra-character gap (between the dots and dashes within a character) — 0
short gap (between letters) — 000
medium gap (between words) — 0000000
And then I tried to figure this out and my head exploded. It being 1 am now I think its time for a rest..
maybe a new day new ideas

I nearly concluded the whole thing must be "LIGHTSEQUENCE" and lolled hard at my failed effort.

Based on the 237 frames, this is the sequence I've transcribed...
_ is white
X is dark
o is grey (various shades )

If it's any help, here's a larger version of the gif slowed down a bit as well.

well, presuming the first word, these are the remaining combos I've found (haven't been able to find a (free) online tool yet to produce a list of possible morse translations from a single sequence.. might need to program one. bah

I've just wasted an hour plugging it into iFeelPixel's morse converter every which way. I'm going to play some TF2 now. Try and stop me. Little men.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So if you can get ENTITY from the name of the gif, and are left with ..----.-.gif to decifer... Well, looking at the gif itself and assuming the first part of the gif translates as . -. - .. - -.--, you are left with a lot more dits and dahs after the supposed ..----.- part of the gif.

Just be sure to use WEYLAND, not wayland... just to avoid confusion.
Tough to keep catching that little typo :P
EDIT: oops - see I'm getting all confused!
It's never weylandCORP*, the only official site is weylandindustries.com (and not wAyland) :)
and blackfeathers - the official tweet you replied to is deleted :)

edited to add: they didn't delete the corporation one after all. it's still there. hmm

I came to the same conclusion. Each character seems to be made of morphing lengths of dit and dahs. I couldn't even get 'entity' out of that.

the remaining could be
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
2k - or entity2k
which sounds kind of futurey

counting frame-by-frame it appears that the dits and dahs are literally inconsistent, where a number of frames which were dits are dahs in another set. looking at the relative number of black frames versus white is more of a trial and error, making the morse code feel more analogue or change in cadence along the way.
still unsolved but,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
assuming the star flashing does say 'entity' and the gif is '_.-.-..--.--..----.-.gif'
&
entity is . -. - .. - -.--
that leaves us with:
_ . -. - .. - -.-- and the rest to decipher -> ..----.-.gif
figuring out where the breaks occur.
