Also I've been looking at this Weyland Employees map and I keep wondering where Antartica is. Wasn't there supposed to have been something done on the poles? I guess I figured there would have been a population down there if we were so technologically advanced.

I was just wondering if anyone noticed the discrepancy between the Tx on the website Primary Resource Chart and the resource chart that you can download.

On the website its Tx 627

On the downloadable jpg its Tx 621

nice catch.

i've seen a minor spelling discrepancy (manganese/maganese). i should probably take a break & wait a bit until they straighten things out, , , ,

The hastening of orbs

Jumping back into the uF fray after some time away (since SUPER Cool, hello all.

Adding my congrats to everyone breaking the PROMETHEUS codes so far, well done! Now to the usual challenge of keeping up with all the players going forward.

Minor addition to something I saw posted:

FTL? Is this meant to be a interstellar map of sorts and were moving toward our destination? almost like a forward view from a cockpit?

Perhaps more likely a virtual trip through the stars, as in the holographic 'galaxy map' shown in the first trailer rather than a physical view from a cockpit? That seems to be an important step in the Prometheus project on the film side. Just a guess.

To try something else, if you list the resources with prime number keys you get (in numerical order) 13 29 31 47 73 79, or AL CU GA AG TA AU.

Maybe someone can see something in that I can't yet.

These do not fit in the real Periodic Table. This is what has been added by Weyland. These are teh references we need to research on. IMO.

Bear in mind that it's listing "Resources" and breaks them into three categories - Minerals, Fuels, Water. So it's not saying they're elements.

On a research note;

Quote:
Tritium(Redirected from Tridium)

Tritium also known as hydrogen-3) is a radioactive isotope of hydrogen. The nucleus of tritium (sometimes called a triton) contains one proton and two neutrons, whereas the nucleus of protium (by far the most abundant hydrogen isotope) contains one proton and no neutrons. Naturally occurring tritium is extremely rare on Earth, where trace amounts are formed by the interaction of the atmosphere with cosmic rays.

The name of this isotope is formed from the Greek word "tritos" meaning "third".

Quote:
Definition of triduum from Merriam-Webster's online dictionary:

a period of three days of prayer usually preceding a Roman Catholic feast

Quote:

What is the Easter Tridium?

The Easter Triduum (also known as the Holy Triduum or Paschal Triduum) is the period that covers the evening of Maundy Thursday to the evening of Easter Sunday and it is when Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

All are related to the number 3. But have different meanings.

Nice. The best would be some kind of online spreadsheet we'd all have access to, we could assign each "element" to its number and quantity and sort them out all kinds of ways, numerically, alphabetically, we could color-flag the"odd" ones.

Well, that's kinda sophisticated, but the idea is there, it'd be very easy to boggle the symbols and numbers around and maybe create words that tickle us just right.

I like Adamantine though, if it's so directly related to Prometheus..

On a more down to earth and almost unrelated note, remember the last puzzles? Maybe we really shouldn't be overthinking this, actually. Or at least not for the moment. We're low on clues and pushing a game on a hypothetical .url directory.

I'm gonna get some sleep. Have fun!

The /eridu image has the characters TAS above the PP logo, and the file is also named TAS. Any relevance you think? I found TA in the resource table but no singular S...

EDIT: sorry, just realised it's just initials of the password... duh. Embarassed

We should keep in mind those resources with their proper chemical symbol, those who don't, and the fictional ones, that way we can sort them out in order of significance.
