I was thinking more like algebra. P(whatever number)=whatever...

Great article from what I've read so far. Puts a few bits into place.

Seems like tomorrow is D Day for the next phase. The gap in action these past days is counter-productive; when they set the hook with the Cosmic Calls action, its makes no sense not to drive onward and capitalize on everyone's enthusiasm. Instead, the action lapsed.

Maybe means they opted to use this time to refine/re-tool the ARG's mechanics. Hopefully the coming stages will be a smoother progression everyone can enjoy more.

I'm reading the Empire Mag scans, and I believe our suspicions towards Weyland were right after all. I'll spoiler it for those who don't want to know anything about the film yet:

On the short synopsis of the film, it says: "(...) That expedition (referring to Prometheus) will include Idris Elba,as the ship gruff captain's Janek (a throwback to the blue-collar crew of the ill-fated Nostromo); Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall and Sean Harris as scientists-for-hire who aren't quite sure what they're getting into; a mysterious old man that nobody, but nobody, is willing to go on the record about (but take a look at the content of Weyland's TED speech again for future hints); Charlize Theron as Vickers, a representative of the Company; and last but not least, Michael Fassbender as the ship's android's, David, who is shunned by his human creators."

That old man is so OBVIOUSLY Weyland, c'mon. He's gonna anger the Gods *shakes TicTacs®*

I guess, I think I was just trying to make a point that even though this is purely Alien canon that some ideas in Alien are discussed in a bit more detail in Aliens, mainly Weyalnd Yutani's interest in the creature. In-fact let's face it, this ARG would probably not even exist if Aliens hadn't made WY so iconic.

i've alluded to the 'corporate communication frequency' either here or on twitter a few times, applying it to theories of ciphers. the seven verticals against a horizontal. or even the changes to the site -not necessarily the specific details, but a component of it such as the change, might be some sort of knock code.

there's many ways to interpret frequency of said communication, but nothing to me that stands out per se.

a few weeks back i've looked into any potential ciphers of the timeline, steg analysis, transpositional, rotations, polybius squares, graphs but it came inconclusive. i didn't want to rabbit hole or sidetrack the prometheus password search at the time since there was no trail that necessarily led me to do it. it was more of curiosity. one potential derivation of that was 'datswas' - short for data s.w.a.s.(submillimeter wave astronomy satellite), and in some sense like how 'edir' preceded the answer.

with hindsight of what has transpired so far, there's no known key or other trail (if at all or even yet if there is one) that would lead to such complexity. in that sense it has been more viral than arg-ish.

and then, from the symbols, i saw tic-tacs. Smile

Meanwhile, in the stalled ARG...
All long paragraphs and conjecture aside, has anyone in the midst of all the discussion mentioned or asked why on the WI 'About Weyland Corp' page it says 'Corporate Communication Frequency' at the bottom in the grey bar?

Anyone think it's possibly a suggestion regarding the light blue flash (that I originally thought might be morse, but now not so sure), glitch, spheres, etc...? Something to do a frequency instead?
