Didn't one of them also talk about Peter Weyland having a W fingerprint himself before getting told off? I'm I saw that quoted on here a few pages back. Confused

Okay, I cant find the specific interview im talking about right now, but I remember it being with both Scott and Lindelof in the middle of March. They were talking about the viral campaign and being enigmatic about it. Scott does something like 'touching the screen' and he says "and there it is" and Lindelof cuts him off saying "dont give it away!" or something of the like

Now we have: "We thought it would be a good idea to advertise and never mention the movie. That's why we opened up to TED. That went down extremely well, and it's a good trick we learned from advertising. The next one will go out and talk about David, the Michael Fassbender character. Again, it's utilitarian advertising on a laptop where suddenly this guy is talking to you about being a robot, and you don't know what the f*** he's talking about. At the very end he has a fingerprint that he puts onto the screen, and in his fingerprint, in his natural skin, is a 'W', which is for the Weyland Corporation."

There is something here that Scott almost gave away, we need to find it.

I had a theory that maybe one of the clues can only be discovered by use of a touch screen, specifically iPad versions of the site. Not done much with that theory though.

"Of course, the tricky part about viral advertising is allowing people to discover it themselves. Just as Lindelof is finishing the previous thought, Scott pipes in: "There's another [ad] coming, selling a product of Weyland Corporation which is for all intents and purposes a human being, called David. We talk about the Weyland Corporation and we never mention the film at all. But at the end, he puts his finger on the screen –""

Lindelof interrupts: "Don't give it away!" So when will we see this full ad? "I don't know what the plan is," Lindelof says, shooting Scott a wide-eyed look. "I didn't even know we were allowed to talk about it." Scott grins: "Oh dear."

He's referring to the W which is imprinted on Davids thumb for Weyland. This will be the full ad coming that is about David 8 Series.

Yyyeeees... I know Question

I was just wondering whether or not it was a hint to use a touch screen (but in actuality the iPad version of the site just reverts to the mobile version now so never mind), we seem to see David touching pretty much every piece of tech in those trailers to activate them... including the alien tech it would seem. That W is like a master key!

Is it hidden somewhere? Maybe...eh..maybe not. Seems like another metered out installment to keep the word of mouth running. But I would look through the add with a fine tooth comb when I see it for more screen shots.. Drool

The level of social media activity i.e. number of tweets and perhaps Facebook likes caused "timeline" and "about us" to be unlocked on weylandindustries.com Solving log ins to reveal stills is tied to the ARG. Perhaps a combination of both is needed to unlock the "David Module"

Rocket Rob
1957

Two very good events happened in 1957.

1. I was born.

2. Scientists at the NACA Lewis Flight Propulsion Laboratory (now NASA's Glenn Research Center) began research on ion engine propulsion.

How about the red star shaped light in on the ship in the third picture indicating a Russian spacecraft? The first thing you find for a " red star" search is that it symbolizes Russia.

I'm thinking more like Yuri Gagarin or Vostok 1 or something like that..
1st human into space.

or

In 1960, the little-known pioneer was part of an U.S. Air Force project called Excelsior, which was designed to test the effects of space on human beings — and, more important, to determine whether an astronaut could survive an aborted mission, even at 20 miles above the earth.

Kittinger had the right stuff. He traveled all the way into space via balloon — then jumped out
