Someone's messed with LAINSY. From Ryan Bruno:

Hey guys, I got more word from Patrice/Netspec about what we're dealing with here. It is MUCH deeper than what it seems.

First off, here are 2 of the messages that LAINSY retrieved that were from Matthew Johnson (aka Maths, who is the "weakest link"). I received the last one from LAINSY yesterday:

After Patrice warned about something dangerous and older I figured she might have a clue what the phrase "walk the order of night" or at least "order of night" meant. Here's her reply:

From there, we were able to gather enough data and information. Ever since, our organization has refocused our priorities. We still do our old activities of stealing and selling information, however, the recent turn of event with FAILTECH has then shown that there is something up that we must look forward to. We suspected that the Nox Ordo has managed to infiltrate FAILTECH in attept to gain control over the company. The Nox Ordo has always been keen in the big players around the world. And right now, FAILTECH is the one and only that hs influence and power around the world thanks to FAILTECH's highly superior technology. Which is why we need to make sure right here, right now, that things go as intended. The future we've seen is a great place. We might have nearly left Earth, but that future is a future worth looking at, a future worth reaching for.

Funny you should mention the Colorado Facility, because I believe James Barron initiated the command to shutdown the ghost network on March 25 (triggering all the files to be lost) from that facility. Post here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=933151#933151

Alright, got a reply from LAINSY. Not what I was expecting.

She says that LMAO is not available in any form in the Alberta Facility. The only location where it is is Colorado. I'm waiting to hear back on whether any of them were over there recently.

My request for an expression & body-language analysis on Althea is where it gets odd. Here's what she said:

I asked about projects on developing humanoid androids with lifelike features, but she said, while they have such a project, it's at an incredibly early stage and nowhere close to producing a working model.

I'm getting a little busy today, but FYI I gave Inno and update and here's his reply. I suspected that RHEA Team Gamma was being affected like AMSR Team Epsilon, I told him about the ghost network, and about Netspec/Patrice:

If it's purely data theft, they should have been gone now. But it seems they're still within the company. So I doubt their only goal is stealing data. They surely have a plan and use for the data. Either that or the data theft is just a distraction for another thing to happen. Continue your investigation, and I hope we get to the root of this soon! Your friend Patrice has been a good assiciate during the December Incident, if you need her feel free. If she asks anything in return tell her to contact me directly.

Haven't heard from Patrice or Althea in a while. I pinged them both but haven't gotten a response. I hope something isn't wrong. I'm asking LAINSY now.
EDIT: Okay LAINSY says Althea seems to be normal, just reviewing documents from Daisuke Nakamura in her office. I got a message from Patrice:

Well, LAINSY actually returned a useful result. It turns out that her cameras could have been fooled by LMAO in its current state. Considering the other options that has to be it.

I'll ask if any of the four accessed LMAO technology around that period in time.

Also, to try and confirm my theory of Althea being held at weapon-point, I'll ask LAINSY to analyze her expression to see if she appeared at all scared. My only question if this is the case is why she was the one that told us about the problem in the first place... Wouldn't they be keeping tabs on her?

I would have posted this yesterday when I got the info, but I was otherwise occupied. Besides, it's not exactly groundbreaking...

The only connection between the two affected departments:

To me that seems too long-term to be a motive.

Also, LAINSY has shot down every possible method I can think of by which four people could have hidden themselves in the room with Althea. (And, based on posse's findings, those four would be our conspirators. I'm thinking they had her at gunpoint) The only remote possibilities would be a secret offshoot of the Tuncarma project, or an extension of a hypothetical application of LMAO proposed by some secret higher-ups.
I'll send LAINSY a general query on any other possibilities, but I don't expect any breakthroughs. If I don't get anything useful, I'm considering looking into ways of getting at the specific names of those higher-ups, including possibly asking Patrice if she has any agents in the right position to get at it.

I'm still kind of tired today so feel free to ask for more details on something if I wasn't very clear.

As I said, Arnold returned with nothing out of place in the area. And LAINSY said that Alfred Smith is the Chief Maintenance Manager of Alberta Facility. It makes sense he would be there. But according to LAINSY, James Barron entered with 2 companions that LAINSY could not identify via optical sensors (they had their faces hidden) or ID tracking.
