I found the mention of the other TED talks . Hopefully another one is released soon (http://www.prometheus-movie.com/community/forums/topic/3170). I also found a mention of the synopsis you described at http://www.thetruthbehindthescenes.org/2012/04/01/prometheus-revelation-of-the-method-transhumanism-agenda-and-the-alien-gospel/. It mentions the Space Jockeys being 'bio-mechanoid'. Interesting...I wonder if this will cause problems with the David android that is brought along on the voyage.

The names of each star stands for a letter that forms a word, based on the order each star is illuminated? Possibly? Do we know for a fact which constellation that is?

This is an actual star constellation which looks like a 'K' so I don't think it'll be a clue. But you're right about the stars lighting up in a specific order.

there are 48 frames in the GIF image but there doesn't seem to be any hidden info there...

Edit: on second look, the stars seem to form a tilted "K"

Yes, I realized there are pictograms in the trailers, but didn't know this one is a mash up. Thought they might have been making it a challenge to catch it when the refresh bar was out of the way, and the stars lit. And thought it might be out there as a pointer in the internet somewhere. Maybe still.

More spoiler speculation: First humans in Africa were manipulated to become future hosts for our alien friends-perhaps by space jockeys. Our travel to their planet means dinner is ready, and they are coming back to earth in on the big ship we see, loaded in those stacks and stacks of barrel objects. Trailer shows crew being infected- maybe Earth would be on massive scale if alien ship makes it. The trailer also seems to show that it doesn't.

Seems to me trailers are giving away an awful lot of the movie.
