I also dont understand why they described the "INTERGALACTIC COMMUNICATION ANTENNAE" (ANTENNAE instead of ANTENNA), is there a link with Antennae galaxies ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antennae_Galaxies
I mean that if they are abble to cross the galaxy faster than light, transmissions doesn't !

It's sort of ironic though, I came here after a long hiatus because I wanted a good ARG to be invested in after 1-18-08, LOST Experience and Super 8, and this one disappointed me way more than Super 8 did. This movie looks like it'll rock hard, but what happened here was truly disheartening. They had a good chance to make something cool and they blew it.
My hiatus was even longer (post TLE) but that's the things with ARGs, it's just so hard to know which one's will take off. I hoped that the budget and staff would allow this to blow up but nevermind.
That said, 2fray2's last post looks interesting.

yeah, depressing really what's going on...I hope they'll fix things up and bring out the David 8 video.
BTW @2fray2, nope, those don't work as QR codes.

There is maybe something more in the last image (USCSS prometheus). If you equalize the rendering, there are like some kind of QR Codes peaces inside. I don't have a QR Code reader, somebody can try to assemble/decrypt it ?
I've been wondering the same thing since the International trailer was released. It's hard to delineate a starmap in the Hawaiian and Mayan pictograms as well.
At least they have the correct date on this pictogram.

Might not mean anything, but the yellow dot in the mini-map on the lower left part of your left image doesn't seem to match the Egyptian location from the right image.
If the body of water just above the yellow dot is the Caspian Sea as it appears, then the yellow dot itself might be the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, from which Russia launches its manned space missions.
I'd REALLY like to believe there's something else here, but after that PP image 4 reveal, I highly doubt it.
The geographic indicator didn't match for the Week 1 pictogram either -- it indicated a location in North Vietnam or China which doesn't match any of the 7 locations from the International trailer. In addition, the date of the Week 1 pictogram was wrong.
While the land mass that occupies the left part of the map on the Week 2 pictogram could be Eurasia/Arabian peninsula, the land mass on the right doesn't really match what North America should look like from that perspective.

Slow moves...
So, still watching what everyone is thinking but haven't chimed in for a while, sorry... but like everyone else has been saying it's been a bit disappointing after such a good start. I hate to grumble, and I know there were long time spans between 'moments' in other games/virals, but they usually started sooner and had more time to lay low... this film hits screens in 8 weeks!
I am surprised that they put so much effort into building the Weyland site and haven't pushed it along with hints or something, if there is something we're missing. If anyone is listening from the other side and we are missing something... the time to push it along would be now or you're gonna loose a lot of us (if you haven't already).
cheers.

Also ObFuSc8, I think someone got word of the fuckups, probably Lindelof, considering he's fully aware of the developments of the ARG judging by the /Film interview, and decided to call it quits. As in, no more games, just focus on releasing some cool pictures and nifty facebook pages, while forgetting about the ARG as it was. And while I think it's a lame move considering I was interested in a game, it's fine they've decided this considering they really messed up with their decisions.

I guess that explains why I wasn't posting lately...
I completely agree. I still can't wait for the movie, but there's no fire left in this "viral".

Week 2 pics
I realise antovolk has already posted the Week 2 pics to his blog but thought I'd go ahead and post them here anyway.
I linked the 4 HQ stills below (since they posted monstrously large):

A page ago, someone posted a link with the full synopsis of the footage shown, and it said that the planet where they land is actually LV-223, which was, honestly, very relieving.

Barely even viral...
Busy day -- I hadn't really had a chance to post here until now. I have to ask, seriously, WTF is going on with this viral? It's barely even a viral at this point. Weyland Investors / Project Prometheus started relatively strong with the signal lamp morse code leading to the 6EQUJ5 reveal, but even with the mistakes and oddly places spaces/comma of the /eridu and /245409 reveals there was at least something to do, to solve, to unlock. I'd expected Discovering Prometheus would just be a series of video/image reveals without any puzzles but had hoped we'd have a little more puzzling to do at Project Prometheus. But they've already simply posted the USCSS Prometheus pic on Project Prometheus and linked to the IGN article without us having to unlock a thing. Not to mention broken flash content that took long enough to fix, only then having the UK starmap link to heyuguys.co.uk . I can understand how it helps to involve popular entertainment websites in the marketing campaign, but I don't like this. I guess the US starmap will be updated soon to either link to some US based entertainment website or maybe just heyuguys. Ugh.
