I gotta agree. It's not often you rent a movie with almost nonexistent expectations and are still disappoint.
The new millennium wasn't good for either of them and even together, I regretted my decision to give them another try.

Man on Fire had a kidnapped children connection, but you said the movie's from 2003. Man on Fire was released in 2004.
Nothing about this one seems familiar to me - yet.
