Ok guys when I went to see the movie once the credits came this person rose up from the auddiance and was telling this guy next to him that "This is the first of a whole new saga" forgot what they had called it but apparently this is what they call something like a Side Story Series. Maybe there will be something having to do with that on the date. Well I was so glad once I predicted that this was going to linger after the movie cant wait.

Sadly I managed to completely miss the ARG (or the viral, or whatever it was) but I've seen (and loved) the movie and had a bit of a look at the http://www.whatis101112.com/ site.
Some thoughts, apologies if they are irrelevant:
- I've read Thus Spake Zarathustra from cover to cover some number of years ago, and didn't understand a damn word of it. I guess I should have done this in conjunction with a university paper in philosophy or something.
- I do note that the Richard Strauss piece of music by the same name happens to be the soundtrack to the Dawn of Man sequence, possibly the most profound moment of Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
- Having not seen the TED talk before the movie, I thought it was a terrible waste to have such a strong actor as Guy Pearce appear only halfway through the movie, and even then, heavily covered in prosthetics. Though, I guess it could have just been a neat payoff for those having already followed the campaign. To me his brief appearance seemed to suggest a loose end or a story left untold.
- The 5 hexagons with only one "active" do seem to suggest the others will activate in the future.
- We've seen the meta tags on this page that say "The next phase of Project Prometheus is coming..." right?
I can't help but think we should expect more - even if it is just an eventual sequel (or sequels). I would be surprised if the "next phase" is purely the ability to watch the same movie (albeit with an extra 30 mins or so), but in the comfort of my own home as some people seem to think.
I got the same feeling from Avatar, James Cameron seemed to be falling over himself to simply familiarize us with Pandora and the Na'Vi and weave it into a narrative. (Too much in my opinion and the storytelling itself suffered - but I'll restrain myself from ranting). Anyway, I understand that Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 are already a done deal - now we're all familiar with the world, maybe Cameron can actually tell a complex story?
Perhaps Ridley Scott is planning the same progression?

iandaking the relative part of the book I'd guess would be about the Übermensch(Supermen), I think that is what Weyland was looking for in the engineers. Zarathustra is often shown as a guy flying in a winged chariot(spaceship).
p.s. is it odd that there happen to be enough hexagons on that site to cover the months from now to the home release?
Great thought

Seems strange to promote a home video though since ppl would have seen the movie already...but what is Zarathustra?
EDIT: Thus Spoke Zarathustra (the title of the video) a german book that was written by a philosopher in the 1880s and deals with lots of spiritual themes
Was posted on the Prometheus twitter feed. I have to say (along with a lot of other people on here), I was disappointed by this ARG; mainly because a lot of the tie-in sites etc. were so well crafted and well written...
