I figured he was referring to Raven's ancestors. I was just confused about the the inconsistency that he mentioned between the Hekadem archives and his membase (and however the memtrix fits in XD). I don't know what the relationship between the Hekadem archives, his membase, and the memtrix is.

But now that you mention it, the gift isn't so clear either. At first I thought the Operator was referring to the Keepers since they were created a long time ago and are now being hunted, but I'm not so sure anymore.

Her ancestors ? He means Raven. But what gift? Maybe something to do with Wallace?

And the part of changing her name to something non sensical..I keep going back to that. I wonder if the operator knows her true name..

The Hunter tidbit struck a chord in me. Poor Keepers T_T

Also, I'm confused about what the Operator means in this paragraph:

Nice Catch, Kaerie! imo Wallace tossed out a good hint by saying his "amazing thing" was not tangible. Maybe it was something that disappeared/disintegrated leaving no trace even for a trained anthropologist? Also, Booba took a stab on p.19 about Wallace's real name.

I've been working on Ayden's poem, believed to hold clues to Wallace's name.

Brae is located on the Isle of Skye, either on or just south of the Trotternish peninsula. The most prominent clans in the area were Clan MacLeod (There can be only one!) and Clan MacDonald. Clan MacLeod intrigues me because they were based in Trotternish, which bears an interesting resemblance to our guy's last name of Happenish. Eventually, though, Clan MacDonald of Sleat defeated Clan MacLeod to become the ruling clan in the area.

I've checked both clans' official shield and coat of arms, nothing about valleys or crests there.

Still searching.

Anyone pay attention to the YouTube video Wallace posted? The band is Grizzly Bear. The song is Two Weeks. I have a feeling Wallace is referencing Rose...but Two Weeks? Could that be something?

Good point. Either way, I don't consider amandel's warning to be fruitless, even if only to provide info about the possible extent of Ayden's re-programming. Curious though: will Augie know that Ayden has been warned about him (Augie)?

It's probably nothing, but I found it interesting that Ayden didn't seem to acknowledge the warning about Augie. While Ayden isn't the most focused of the bunch, he was usually able to respond to previous messages/questions accurately (there's probably a better word for what I wanted to say there) before wandering to other topics.

That's true...but maybe Ayden is programmed to divert the subject when someone mentions Augie...

I wouldn't call him stupid...more...unique. Don't forget his programming has been messed with also.

That was the impression I got, that maybe the Moonlight Serenade had encoded in it something that triggered a hidden sub-routine in Ayden that's working on behalf of the Wallites, which may explain why Ayden WENT TO the Hekadem after it fell? Wouldn't the Wallites be in control of it now, or am I misunderstanding something?
