Heh. As I really thought those were little Asian hands at the typewriter, I really didn't think this would be right. It's been a lot of years since I saw that one, but It's sorta gel-ing, now that you've confirmed it.

I can go, now, since I'm at home.
So here's the next:

Edit: Adding another still for this Classic.

bah. I'll pretend that was intelligent sleuthing and not just random guessing. Yes, you got it. The great thing about this movie is Linda Hunt's role as a man -- and the way they referenced it for her (female) character's backstory. on NCIS:LA this past season.

I have nothing more in my queue, and no chance of getting to the library this weekend. Someone else will need to step up to the plate for us both. (Here's the male lead from "The Year...", not the next challenge.)

I seem to be stuck on a genre.
So, I'm thinking Indonesia, now and will try, "The Year of Living Dangerously".

wrong, but not terrible far off. Your powers of deduction are astounding.

That deserves another clue.

I know what you mean about keeping up.
I have kinda given up on updating the main spreadsheet.
Urth does almost all of the editing for it, these days.

My file create time for the first image is:
Monday, ‎August ‎13, ‎2012, ‏‎3:38:29 PM
(PDT)

That date and time seemed impossible. I checked and found my clock was a day off.
So it was really:
Sunday, ‎August ‎12, ‎2012, ‏‎3:38:29 PM (PDT)

On the new one... I have no idea why; but, I wanna say "The Killing Fields".
I know a lot of Vietnamese wear their watches turned around on their left wrist because John Wayne often did that. An homage to The Green Berets, I think.
I have no idea if Steve McQueen was ever a fashion influence on Cambodians; but, I kinda remember the journalist wearing it on the right wrist. And the film quality and props seem about right.

Damn.

So sorry. I can't post another one, currently.
Somebody else wanna go?

Sure. I won't count this one in my version of the spreadsheet. Unfortunately, I did not see when you posted your correct guess for "Whip It!", and now all I see is the last edit timestamp. I've become rather lax in maintaining my data.

That being said, I surely hope this next one has never been used...

Damn. I didn't even think to check this one before I posted. It was a direct-to-DVD flick. I just assumed it was a theatrical release, given the cult following for the original War Games.

This one was "War Games: The Dead Code"

So sorry. I can't post another one, currently.
Somebody else wanna go?

Rogi - you always post up the most interesting of movies!

Totally clueless, but intrigued!

It finally hit me.
You're right, the globes had no specific meaning beyond their general irrelevancy in the digital world.
My prior comment still kinda fits, though.

That bus is seen mostly at night, IIRC.

Whip It! was on the trial movie channels, recently.
A definite chick flick; but, watchable.

Since I'm fairly certain, I'll post a new one.

Edit: Adding a new pic.
Edit's gangly kid brother: New day, new still.

if there was a meaning to the globes in the movie, it went over my head; i just picked a random scene which would not have appeared in any trailers or ads for the film. But do continue to brainstorm, as it amuses me. Here's another moment, with more relevance to the plot.

I know what you mean.
I vaguely remember the globes having meaning to the story in a metaphoric way. Like "good kid gone bad" or "education is a waste of time"

Tabloid (2010), the Errol Morris doc. Wildly entertaining, I highly recommend it. The lady is crazy but engaging as all hell.

Can someone else go for me please? Thanks.

for the record, i am looking to confirm that the answer is either Tabloid (2010) or Tabloid (2004) or Tabloid (1985) (or something else?)

meanwhile, i'll start the next round shortly... (I hope the cars don't give this one away, i have more interesting scenes to follow)
