Other than that, not much to update. Kaido (aka Rifter) was able to copy Matthew Johnson, and Dan Miller has the real Matthew Johnson secured. Currently what's next is to try to convince Pablo Jose that Rifter is Matthew Johnson. Haven't heard yet whether this is successful.
Something interesting I found from zeighy's barcode solve when you use the FAILTECH private message line (619-722-3245):
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you put 45460, it gives the following message: "45460 acknowledged. Private Agent Voice Portal logged out. Access denied. Request uplink from [couldn't hear this word]. Connection will now be closed." and then it hangs up automatically. WEIRD!
Also, updates from LAINSY: The stolen ship is back in sensor range, but where's Genus?
Quote:
LAINSY: The ship being tracked has re-enetered the tracking range. It has entered the same location of last sighting. However, Genus Orein's ship who is registered to be on pursuit of the ship being tracked has not been detected, yet. I will send another update regarding the ship being tracked once I receive additional information.
LAINSY: Alexander class ship hull number 00023 is moving towards the direction of an unknown signal source. Estimated arrival to signal source is 26 hours.

Good job! Great! So we play the waiting game now? No news regarding stolen ship, no news on rifter, so far... So this is all we have... Waiting it is...

Great job phantom!! I always liked the SSTV puzzles. I guess we need to wait for the next message from this mysterious new character?

Aw, thanks for playing with us Lystella, please keep an eye on things if you can!
Also I decided to decode the SSTV (Thank you shortwave hobby) and see what it was. Both of the soundclips were of the same image and in the end they said,

I'll be brief. I have been looking for people Who will definately understand What I am trying to do.
There's a lot of work to be done. I can't do it alone.

@Lystella: I don't know, as far as what you've been up to on the forum here, why you could think that you aren't nice to be around/productive. Even when you don't have time to actively contribute (like I, right now, though I still try to throw my 2 cents in occasionally), it's still nice to have another voice in the mix. Besides! you've just about always been the one to update the wiki when I don't have time to get to it (which has, again, been a lot, lately) (I know this because I never turned off Wikia's inconsistently designed email notifications). I call that a huge contribution!
It's your choice, obviously, and I don't know the other side of things, but I hope you at least stick around as a friendly source of occasional opinion.
Wish you the best either way!

The phoneline had updated... There seems to be SSTV in there... Both on Posse and Lystella's code...
Anyhow, sad to see you're withdrawing Lystella! Thanks for all the contributions!

I'm going to be withdrawing from the ARG. Long story short, I realized that IRL personal issues (i.e. nothing ARG or forum-related) are keeping me from being productive on the forum (a.k.a. I'm not being a cool person to be around). I let the ARG team know that I am withdrawing as well, so I know what to do with what they had sent me (I'll update when I learn what to do with them). Take care, guys
Update about the material they sent:

We can send a duplicate copy to another player...The nfc-scannable tag can be duplicated so no need to worry about that.

Okay I had my friend do an NFC scan with the FAILTECH ID card. It provides a link to a website:
When I put that in, I got an error, so instead I put in things like http://agents.failtechnologies.com which explained a little more. It's an Agent Portal/File Directory, similar to the FAILTECH Intranet (which is now down -- or defunct?). The URL http://agents.failtechnologies.com/secure indicates a 5-digit ID -- I guess our ID is 05649. I hope it's the same for all of us! Can someone with a card confirm that the ID is the same?
Okay, and finally, I put in the URL http://agents.failtechnologies.com/secure/05649 which throws up an Authorization screen. Now we're getting somewhere! But I don't know what the login/password should be. Is the login "arctechone"? Is the password something from the card? Are we supposed to use our old logins/passwords from the intranet or what? I'm not sure. I'm about to head out for the day so I'll check back in tomorrow, maybe someone can take a stab at this and tell us what it's all about.
Also, there's a system announcement on the phone message system (619) 722-3245 -- something about four reserved slots being populated upon system trigger, additionally four slots has been locked. Four?

Looks like I've been accepted and put on a waiting list for a participation slot to be open.
The anticipation is killing me, but I must be patient.

Thanks for that! I entered my number, and will be waiting patiently for the next 24 hours.
Also, I facepalmed when I saw the solution to the barcode... sometimes the simplest puzzles elude me o.O

Nice one, zeighy! That's really cool.
Okay I've been working on a couple of things:
First off, I've decided to go ahead and have Rifter copy/impersonate Matthew Johnson. Matthew has agreed to meet with "Inno Ellis" and not tell anyone from Nox Ordo about it. Funny, though -- Matthew is already aware that this guy is not Inno but Rifter. I guess Nox Ordo knows about Rifter? I hope the copy goes well.
If all goes well, hopefully we can start getting more information about Nox Ordo! And if Rifter can pull off Matthew, perhaps he can convince someone like Pablo Jose to meet with him and pull off another copy?
Also, I've confirmed with LAINSY that Joseph Dillinger and Billy Chan have disappeared/are now untrackable. It looks like these guys + James Barron are the ones on the stolen ship. Not confirmed though (I really hope Matthew knows something about this).
I'm lucky to have a friend who's into fancy phones and we were able to use his Samsung Galaxy S II to see what's on the little RFID/NFC tag thing attached to the mysterious message I got in the mail. Crazy enough, we turned on the phone's NFC capability (in Android phones, it's listed under Settings --> Wireless networks under "NFC") and put the phone on top of the nametag/racetrack. A phone number popped up! Check out the screenshot I took with my (useless) iPhone.
I first texted the number but got a standard auto-response from LAINSY:
Quote:
LAINSY: Sorry, this private messaging line is only available by voice. Try calling instead.
Calling the number I got a LAINSY-recorded message that is like a voicemail menu. System announcements are in the mailbox "00000". Currently there are no system announcements. You can access other mailboxes using the 5-digit mailbox code. So I put in "60119" and got:
Quote:
This message slot has been reserved. Your message will be available soon. Check back after 24 hours.
So what I'm hoping will happen is that some mysterious person will be leaving voicemail messages on that mailbox? I don't know.
I was so excited about the secret voicemail number that I failed to scan the FAILTECH Agent card!! GAH! My friend was unavailable yesterday but I was so curious I casually asked a T-Mobile salesperson to scan it. It's a website address, but it was so long I couldn't read the URL quickly and the phone had trouble loading the webpage. So I'm supposed to meet up with my friend later on today and we will figure out what the website is. I think there's also an email address associated with it too, but I'm not sure.
Another thing... the way Nox Ordo immediately knows FAILTECH's secrets leads me to think there's got to be a mole in the Intelligence Department. Dan Miller seems to think so, too. If someone wants to follow this trail, please do. Now that LAINSY's back online and responding to queries, maybe this can be investigated more.
That's all I got for now!

This was just an afterthought and never thought it actually worked.... hahaha
When I saw the pic you guys uploaded of the failtech ID... the barcode at the top intrigued me...
I checked it with http://www.onlinebarcodereader.com/ by cropping the barcode section only and it can't decode it... HOWEVER, if you invert the color, it can decode the barcode and what it read was
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

PROTOCOL 45460
My ideas, spoilered cus I think I should... haha
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Isn't it that there's only up to 45459 protocols? Where protocol 45459 is the Jhuku/Kid?
What's up with Protocol 45460? A new protocol, I guess? but for what? And why on the ID they sent you?

I've received a reply for my join.failtechnologies.com form submission.
Someone named Lilly Yonge ( lilly.yongeSPLATfailtechnologies.com ) responded, asking me to give a little more information, which of course, I did and I'm hoping I get accepted.
