It's my understanding that the PMs selected 3 players active in the forums to send the keycards to, knowing that we would share our findings with the rest of the players. I don't believe the keycards themselves will end up playing a big factor in the game. I sure hope not, if so I have to ask for that card back from my friend who owns an NFC-capable phone!

Unfortunately, the key cards seemed to have been sent out to people who have played the game well since the beginning. The good thing is, we are sharing every bit of info we get from them with this thread.

Interacting with the characters is probably the best way to catch up. Dan Miller knows about the events in Season 1, same with Alexander Sword, and Genus (currently MIA though) does as well. LAINSY might also be a good source of knowledge, just ask a question and see if it will answer.

I don't know if they can provide you a good summary of what happened last year, but that's what you should ask about -- the events from last year beginning with the lockdown at the Antarctica Facility. It's been just a little over a year since everything started, and the events unfolded due to the players' interactions with the characters and the decisions we made in commanding LAINSY and the others to do things.

Trout me on this if it's been mentioned! But I forgot to say Scott told me that I would help researching some "historical artifacts" retrieved from a safe that was acquired from Duo Corp. I tried asking LAINSY about the artifacts, but she had no knowledge of them.

At this point, it would be really hard to do that. By reading through this thread from the beginning, you should be able to get a really good hold of everything up until now. I remember last year each episode was backed up OOG for future participants, but I'm not sure if they're still up. FAILTECH has grown so much, it's mindboggling awesome.

I had asked Dan about Protocol 45460 that zeighy had figured out earlier and that I found was somehow linked to the private messaging line.

In phantom's SSTV solve there was mention of the Intelligence Department "Internal Agent Collective" which I'd never of before. I queried LAINSY about it and found:

Things continue to be slow on Rifter's impersonation of Matthew Johnson. He's trying to slowly gain Pablo Jose's trust that he is Matthew:

phantom just started at Season 2 not too long ago and that sounds really interesting that he's been invited to work with the Intelligence Department -- some mysterious messages are being left by someone from that department! I'm assuming that starting from here we may get some assignments or more puzzles to solve. I think the game is still in the introductory phase of Season 2, trying to wait for more players to join, get used to the characters, etc.

Currently character interaction is desperately needed. We need people to talk to the characters and get more information about what is going on. Good people to talk to about what's going on at FAILTECH are the following:

• LAINSY is FAILTECH's supercomputer, it has a lot of resources available and you can query it for information - commandSPLATlainsy.net
  
• Dan Miller is high up on the FAILTECH administration (Board of Directors, or BOD) and knows on a high-level what's going on and has access to a lot of resources - dan.millerSPLATfailtechnologies.com
  
• Rifter/Kaido Yonwin is an alien(!) from a Void, he jumps between "rifts" in time/space, this is his first visit to Earth, he has a skill where he can impersonate anybody. The rift he came in pulled our FAILTECH supervisor Inno Ellis into the Void, so he's looking for a way to jump back. He can impersonate people, currently he's impersonating Matthew Johnson in order to get more information on Nox Ordo - inno.ellisSPLATfailtechnologies.com

Other characters I would consider not as helpful or are currently MIA but seem to be playing an important role in the game, if you can contact them and talk to them this would be super:

• Genus Orein, a FAILTECH super-scientist who is in what is effectively a TARDIS-like ship, is currently chasing after a stolen FAILTECH ship, and hasn't shown up on sensors in a while - genusoreinSPLATgmail.com
  
• Matthew Johnson is a FAILTECH employee but also a low-level Nox Ordo member in charge of the Nox Ordo archives, he tends to divulge more information than other Nox Ordo suspects. However Rifter's currently impersonating him - matt.johnSPLATfailtechnologies.com
  
• Pablo Jose is a FAILTECH employee but also Nox Ordo member, doesn't like to talk much, maybe someone else can get something out of him? - pablo.joseSPLATfailtechnologies.com
  
• Micael Ajax is a captain of a FAILTECH ship that's from the future, and his ship appeared here and it's in trouble, about to run out of power. I don't know if anyone else is talking to him but he has some sort of Formspring page set up here: http://itallstarted.com/ask
