it's funny how a single frame can evoke the feeling of several radically-different movies. My mind was considering:
eXistenZ (used)
Blade Runner (used)
Men in Black (not yet used?)

As it's languishing so long, I did some searching. While I have no idea whether it's correct or not, it just kinda seems like something Urthstripe would go with.

How about:

"To Wong Foo:
Thanks for everything.
Julie Newmar"

Just kinda seems like something Urth would use.

You're right, of course, and this was another one I was surprised we hadn't used yet.

Here's a few more atmospheric shots and then it's over to you, JumboTron.

The Haunting (1963)

T'wos remade in 1999 and starred Liam Neeson and Catherine Zeta-Jones, but they never captured the eerie suspense of the original.

Went to do the updates to make the google doc match catherwood's and see that GuyIncognito has already taken care of all of it.
Thanks!

Here is an explanation for the discrepancies between the googledoc and my version of the spreadsheet (I think I've mentioned these in the past:

Sorted chronologically, we're in agreement thru #783
At #784 my spreadsheet counted "Cube" when it was reused (for the 2nd occurance) on page 360 of this thread (October 15, 2008) -- the shared doc is missing this occurance.

We remain off by one thru your #921 (my 922), then I have #923 as 'Barton Fink' (guessed on February 22, 2010 on page 431) -- the shared doc is missing this occurance.
(technically the use of this movie again later in December 2011 on page 498 was a duplication but was overlooked.)

We're then off by two thru your #948 (my 950), where an incorrect guess of 'Critters' on October 13, 2010 (page 449) was added to the googledoc and bumped your count,
after which we're back to being off by one, and there we remain.

We have a numbering disagreement during one month (January 18 - February 8, 2010 from pages [426-428]) in the chronology between 'Red Dragon' (your #910, my 911] and 'Airplane' [your #917, my 918] where six movies were entered into the googledoc in reverse sequence.

I have not yet updated my Leaderboard stats.

I figured it out.
The "Guesser" and "Assist" named ranges were set to not capture the last row.
I probably keyed the ending range row number from the "Flick #" column instead of the spreadsheet row number while it was sorted by the former.

I had another look as well, but the mystery of the missing guesser remains. All I can say is that the values in the Leaderboard seem to be correct, according to my crosscheck. But I'm also pretty sure that 1125 is the correct number of movies we tried to guess.... Maybe it's a problem with the formula or some bug in the spreadsheet?

cath, since you seem to have one additional movie, did you maybe include a Direct-to-DVD-entry in your list, like Wonder Woman (here) or something like that?

It's pretty puzzling, but this is unFiction, so sooner or later I guess we'll figure it out. Wink

Here's the next movie still for now:

and my spreadsheet lists this last one as #1126

I'll upload it to my usual sekrit hiding place, then set about tomorrow comparing mine to the googledoc.

My stats/leaderboard were not recalculating on the fly the way I wanted (in a graph or chart), so I ended up using pivot tables which requires a fixed snapshot (as far as I know, in my version at least) I could recalculate those as well, tomorrow.

You got it, Guy.
Coincidentally, I'm watching it on satellite... Right now!
Oh. and yeah. it was scorpions and ants.
I'll look over the spreadsheet.
Done.
I'm unable to reconcile one guesser, somewhere.
Counting all the guessed movies gives 1124 instead of 1125.
Maybe somebody else can figure it out.
And thanks for doing the list update, Guy.

I've updated the main spreadsheet, but only the List, because I wasn't sure if there's some feature that automatically updates the Leaderboard accordingly or if everything has to be counted and transferred manually by some poor soul/me.

As for the current movie, I'm almost certain that those are the kids from the beginning of The Wild Bunch. Weren't they playing with a scorpion or something crawly like that?
