we are glad for all the lurkers
no problem if you just watch everybody have to do what he is good for
maybe next puzzle will be made just for the skill set you have
we are welcoming all the people, except few exceptions that got banned for various resons... but ban list on irc is empty atm
You are all free to call Message desk guy, he might be lonely.
You can reach him on 202-204-2303
Here is the list of tried numbers. If you get any extraordinary result post here.
Still just lurking (honestly, don't expect me to contribute), and I am very glad that this is going. Keep up the good work!

We are still alive and well
For all the people who are visiting us, stay in channel a bit longer. We havent got any new messages or puzzles for few days and in cases like that channel always become more silent.
Currently we are waiting for that AB-101 modem one of our guys ordered at message desk.
And yes aou are right. Message desk guy seem the most important communication way between us and game creator atm.
ndemeter: free to join http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#arg
next time stay connected a bit longer, we are far from the hype of first month when 100 people was watching the chat 24/7
now things settled down, all trolls lost the game long ago, all gam jackers lost their fun, people who are still in channel are only the old rusty coders and phreaks who will die tryng to get to the bottom of this

What's going on with this? I tried to get on the IRC chat yesterday but it was rather quiet even though there were a lot of people joined in the room.
Am I correct to assume that at this point the team is still talking to a "real" person on the other end of the phone trying different codes? Or have we moved on from that?
Thanks bambusar for keeping a log here of this!

The effort and resources that have gone into this on both ends of this game are staggering. Excellently done.
To echo earlier sentiments: If you need a package picked up in NorthEast Ontario, i'm up for it.

OUR ONLY IDEA SO FAR:
recording consists of 'random' fragments of which some are double(d)
now we can start searching for repeated samples and analyzing them or/and putting them to right order
Results of investigation so far:
[15:20] crash_demons Audacity Project with duplicate clips labelled: http://ompldr.org/vZ3RveQ/Vocaroo_s0umnXSktvyC.zip (the ones R6mco and I found tonight at least for http://vocaroo.com/i/s0umnXSktvyC ). Labels with timestamps can be read in text format also: http://pastebin.com/PgCTDUxi
[15:23] crash_demons PS: done with old Audacity 1.3.13-beta (Unicode)
[15:23] crash_demons and with that, I must sleep
[15:26] R6mco my feeling is that the doubled frames may be glued together to form a word or phrase or something
Cleaned up version http://vocaroo.com/i/s10zJyl2m3bK
Sounds like "VOIP with the packets out of order"
We found that some same slices. We are plying with thought id that message is simple substitution cipher in audio form.

Adah and nadando figured out how we can order "products" by providing our address (real one) to Message Desk guy.
Orders can be done by using few of the codes we have been receiving recently.
I am not completely sure what codes have been used in what order. Here are full logs
For now we ordered two (or three???) "products":
ab000, ab101 and ab101-doc
Code:
[10:35] nadando use AB000 to make an "order", 30004A to authorize that order
Code:
[10:10] nadando ok
[10:10] nadando got somewhere
[10:10] nadando AB000
[10:10] nadando then he asks for auth code
[10:10] nadando 30004A
[10:11] nadando then he says "and what is that"
[10:11] nadando I say A1BC1B, "you need to put that in and tell me the result"
Code:
[10:15] nadando so AB000 is ABISM ORDERS
[10:15] nadando which is who knows
Code:
[10:35] Adah So AB000 -> 30004A -> ???
and we used first two (or three) lines from Las Vegas Arduino Device (output that starts with A) to confirm the orders.
If you guys need someone to grab a drop in Portland, Oregon ever, I'm down. Just give me the coordinates and I will grab it as quick as possible. Also, where do you learn how to find all this shit? I wanna learn how to decode like that! Where would you recommend beginning.
Also, tried calling the number. It said the call could not be completed due to a network error.
But yeah, where would I begin learning this kind of thing?
Also, did we ever confirm this as an ARG and not real?
To learn more i recommend to check this thread from beginning. We have 5 different numbers that are part of it (confirmed) now:
303-309-0004 Agent system 1
202-999-3335 Agent system 2
709-700-0122 Scrambled messages
48-22-307-1061 Agent system Polish number
202-204-2303 Message desk direct
ARGs that are meant to look like real thing, are impossible to confirm being ARGs if done properly, thus we CAN NOT CONFIRM this is an ARG.
It certainly isnt typical commercial/viral ARG.
But it looks like a game, afterall they included few of our jokes in their messages (iloveyou weloveyou foreverbeautiful, thank you for taking this more seriously).
We dont have any nice videos, nice web pages, nice visual material, coherent easy to understand plot... but only mystery. We have this persistent unanswered questions hanging over this "game": What is this? Who is making it? Why are they making it? What is the meaning of it? What is the endgame?... And this mystery is the main appeal of it.
If you want to get all the authorization codes, verify codes, conformation codes and other codes that we are hiding (XXXXX) on unfiction visit us on IRC. We are not posting this codes so that random people cant use them (some are one time codes only) by accident and not record the result. We are not hiding them for any selfish reasons. Whoever wants to give his address to Message Desk guy to order "the product" can frely do so, just keep in touch with us and report what you get.
