I'll admit... It's not the kind of movie I would watch.
That's a shame, it's a gorgeous movie. The cinematography and art direction are fantastic.

Navy movies. Few and far between. Judging by the coloring I'd say; 'Technicolor' and look place this somewhere in the late 50's, early 60's(?)
And even though there is no pink in sight I'm guessing it could be:

Rogi, you are still wrong... I think you might have looked at the title wrong.
He got the actors right, does anyone want to close it out for us?

Julianne Moore to the rescue, again. Even looking at that pic I don't think I'd ever have guessed it was Colin Firth.
A Simple Man.
I'll need a bit to post a new one.

A Michael Caine look alike? Looks like this will have to last a bit longer still.

Yeah, Holstein-Friesian cattle. Some know weapons, some know cows. Can't say I can name any of the human actor though.
So another guess:

No organized violence either. Here, have a recognizable actor.

So not a spy but it sure seems like 'organized violence' is a part of this movie. So I'm guessing asassin movie. erm... There is a movie made by a famous 'former' photographer Anton Corbijn.
"The American"?

There is nothing to do with spies in this movie, though it does take place during the Cold War.
