There are a number of movies with Rain in the title but I stopped looking at them when I got to "Black Rain" an 80s movie with Micheal Douglas which seems to be the epitome of pointless and awful films. He goes to Japan and can't eat with chopsticks...because he's a New York cop.
So I started to google movies with Sun in the title and I found this great clip of the moon crossing the face of the Sun on Feb 25, 2007. I post it here for your viewing pleasure.

Close, solely on the hints. But it isn't so much the time....

Nope...actually it is quite the contrary (but I hinted at that already)

Not much confidence here, but because it's a cool movie that hasn't been used, Night Watch?

The Thin Man was not the answer? Looks like I misunderstood the request.
**edit***
Right...it was Thin.
Anywho.... NOT Bourne (identity or supremacy)
Whoohoo. It lasted longer than 7 minutes
In celebration a new shot: I know It is not sunny...but close.

Uhm, I'll ignore the "Dial M For Murder" you mentioned at the end, there
There *were* other ladies in The Thin Man (this scary white blonde lady was the nutty mother with the trashy boyfriend).

I was getting a "Nick and Nora Charles"/"Thin Man" vibe from the elegant lady, but didn't find any Myrna Loy photos to match that
white
blonde hair. Can I "Dial M for Maybe?"

I know this one! It's Drew Barrymore in Scream...isn't it?
Uhm, yeah, no. But bonus points for getting me to snort coffee out my nose!
As for the black and whiteness, it has always been in black and white and was never technocolored.
