That means Cycle Redundancy Check, it's just a code generated to ensure the file was downloaded properly.

how do i view the thumbs.db file all i am getting is jibberish? do i need a specific program to open it... it's opening in notepad
Thumbs.db is not a file. It is a file used by Windows Explorer to store the thumbnail icons of files and folders. It is normally a hidden file though. I don't think it is intended to be used, just a file the operating system uses to keep track of stuff. Anyone got any ideas on what to do now? The data in answer.txt is defenetly RGB color values, they go from 0 to 255.

Those look like RGB color values. Since there are 26, they must correspond to a specific color in each image file. The binary is 11010000000000000010010100, when the files are grouped by name.
bullerman.net was just updated. Now theres a link to a zip file. Downloading it now.

Re: the unbreakable code... have people tried unscrambling the numbers into longitude and latitude? With 8-digit decimal numbers, it seems to make sense.
When you put in Cedar Rapids, you get Latitude: 41.976345 / Longitude: -91.673759. You can make several locations close to that out of the numbers we were given.
